What an excellent place to stay and pet friendly! What a view and the property is beautiful. The house was spotless and beds were super comfortable. So relaxing and inviting, would highly recommended staying here. Host was very quick to reply to any messages and recommendations of the area.

The property is absolutely gorgeous. Views everywhere. We went in October it didn’t disappoint at all. I will definitely be coming back as our dog loved the property and all the animals.

Beautiful views

Great stay at this little cottage. We stayed with my daughter and 2 of her friends and our 2 dogs. Very clean house and a great place to rest at night after all our adventures in the surrounding mountains. Very close to Asheville for some fantastic dinner options. We will be going back.

Our Second Stay

This cottage is a great getaway when you need some R&R. Very peaceful location and great views, very clean and comfortable accommodations, and just a short drive to Biltmore, West Asheville, and lots of wonderful outdoor activities. This is one of our favorite places to stay and we will definitely be back! Thank you , April!!

Countryside cottage

Exactly what we imagined and more. Cozy, warm and inviting with the most incredible sunrises. Minutes from downtown Asheville with a peaceful country setting. Loved it and you will too!

Quaint and cozy

We loved the area. It was very quite and comfortable. I think my family and I had 3 of the best nights sleeps in a really long time. We had everything we needed for the 3 days we were there. Owner was extremely easy to deal with and was very accommodating.

Tranqulity

The Cottage of Color was immaculate. The view from the outdoor deck was very relaxing. The cottage is only twenty minutes from Asheville. We choose it because it was unique from the numerous cabins in the area. Having access to the farm animals was an added plus!

Go see for yourself!

This house is beautiful. Yes, there’s only one bathroom so I wouldn’t go with a large group of people. However, this was the perfect spot for our honeymoon. You sit on the porch and there’s quiet. The views are amazing. The interior is extremely well done and the house was very clean. It’s a great place.

Amazing! Our favorite vacation rental!

We have rented a few times outside the Asheville area and this by far was our favorite location. April goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. She is quick to respond to any communication and incredibly sweet. The property itself is breathtaking. The perfect place to get away and relax. If you have little ones the farm animals are a must visit. We took day trips into Asheville, Weaverville, and Henderson. The cabins location made for an easy and quick drive into any activity you may want to partake. We hope to be back for a visit to the Cottage of Color again.

Experience Asheville

My husband, daughter and I came for a Christmas getaway and tour of the Biltmore and the Asheville area. This is a small place but nicely decorated and has everything you need. It was a little weird to be away for Christmas and we probably won’t do it again, but the tour of the Biltmore at Christmas was magical. The rest of the area is very nice and so unusually warm that we were really able to walk and explore downtown. We also were able to spend a lot of time on the nice deck at this home, which is quite spacious and comfortable - very unusual for late Dec! It’s always fun to check out a new city with the comforts of home.

Wonderful stay on the farm!

We loved our stay at the farm! The house was absolutely beautiful with the perfect combination of modern touches with a rustic vibe - exactly what we wanted. The setting was gorgeous, perched high up on a hill with a view of mountains in the distance. Dinner on the deck was great, although the proximity to the road detracted slightly from the peaceful quality. We loved the cows - especially our three year old daughter. We said hi to them every morning and even got to pet them a bit. We also loved Asheville, but the drive into town was a little farther than we would've liked. April was a great host, texting me back quickly to respond to my questions about the house. If you're considering a vacation in the country with the things to do nearby, I'd highly recommend a stay on the farm!

Very nice clean place,very quiet and close to all activities In Asheville.

It’s was great, the owner of the property needs to be aware of the entrance steps. It’s painted cement and they get very slippery when wet. My wife slipped on them and sprained her wrist. Maybe they should put non skid strips on them. I too slipped on them even after being aware they were wet and walking carefully.

Perfect place to stay!

I hate it’s taken me so long to leave a review, life has been BUSY!! We stayed here for Easter weekend (2023), and it was perfect!! Our 12 year old loved the space we had for him to run around, even though it was freezing and pouring, he STILL made it outside like any boy would do! The home itself is so cute and perfectly decorated. The size was perfect for us and all the included things made it so easy to settle in with no worries. It’s just a short BEAUTIFUL drive from downtown Asheville, perfectly settled away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. This will DEFINITELY be our place to stay during any of our Asheville trips! Oh, and I must add, the owner was able to work it out to where we could check in just a little earlier, which was a life saver. It was POURING when we arrive is Asheville (that really is an understatement) and the owner was able to work it out to where we could check in a little early! I was and am so appreciative of that. You don’t need to look any further, THIS IS YOIR PLACE TO STAY!!!

This house was so peaceful, it has a peaceful atmosphere to it, this trip was to visit my daughter, she and her roommates met myself and husband and son there and we enjoyed a breakfast and dinner here , really enjoyed the porch view, there a was storm over the mountains that we watched, with lighting and thunder, it was just amazing to watch God at work. Would really love to stay here again in a future trip. Highly recommend this home , the winding roads and quaint homes and neighborhoods in the surrounding area are beautiful. Also loved the rough hewn floors in this home , really lovely country home ! Just could go on and on about this house , clean , quiet, peaceful, relaxing!
