Island Cottage 3rd Row 5 Bedroom N Forest Beach Home steps to beach and Coligny

This third-row ocean island cottage home, located in North Forest Beach at 27 Sandpiper Street, was designed with vacationers in mind. From the front door, you enter an expansive great room with 12 foot ceilings and hardwood floors. The living area has seating with a sofa, two club chairs, and two malabar chairs surrounding the fireplace. An armoire contains the entertainment center with a TV and DVD. The large dining table is great for gathering with family and friends. The light and bright kitchen with travertine counters has an island bar that seats six.

Three sets of french doors lead from the living, dining, and kitchen areas to the pool and deck. The pool deck amenities include a dining table with umbrella that seats six, gas grill, lounge chairs, and adirondack chairs along with an outdoor shower.

The pool is rectangular and measures 14 feet by 28 feet with a small waterfall. The pool deck was replaced in April 2020.


On the first floor are two bedrooms with a shared hall bath. One bedroom has two twin beds, and the other has two queen beds with french doors leading to the front porch.

At the top of the stairs on the second floor is a king bedroom with its own bath (tub and shower). French doors open into a sitting room with a queen sleeper sofa. There is a private balcony off of the bedroom as well as the sitting room. Across the hall is a second bedroom with a cherry rice-carved king bed and a private bath (shower only). From the hall, four steps lead up to the master suite. This spacious bedroom contains a white-washed king bed as well as a large sitting area with two chaise lounge chairs perfect for reading or watching TV. This area has french doors leading to a private balcony with rocking chairs great for glimpsing the ocean. The large master bath contains separate pedestal sinks, a jacuzzi tub, shower, and a separate water closet.

ALL RENTALS BETWEEN MAY - AUGUST MUST BE 7 DAY RENTALS (Saturday to Saturday).

Really enjoyed our stay at Sandpiper. The home was well cared for and furnished. Our family really enjoyed the pool and close access to the beach. The kitchen was well equipped and a good amount of plates and utensils meant for a larger home/more people.

The home is beautiful, located steps from the beach and very comfortable. The pool was an added bonus as we could enjoy that with our adult kids and grandchild. We loved our stay.

Family vacation

Absolute perfection

This home checked all the boxes. It was big enough for our framily of 12 but also laid out in a way that we communed together in the kitchen/living/pool deck area! The layout was perfect!!!! And I loved that this home didn’t feel like a rental formula. You can tell it’s someone’s home and they love it, too! Melissa and Ben were incredible hosts— so helpful and responsive!!! Fun in the Sun

The property was gorgeous and the location was excellent. Walk a few minutes, and you're on the beach. Tired of the beach, come back and soak in your own private pool. Feel like ice cream? Jump on the nearby bike trail and your at 5 ice cream parlors in minutes. Ben, the owner was very accomodating. I had a few minor questions and was answered immediately. I highly recommend this lovely home for family vacation due to it's comfortable atmosphere and nearness to all that Hilton Head has to offer. One more thing- North Forest Beach is a white sand beach that is wide, safe and relatively uncrowded.

Family Spring Break Vacation

This was a great property for families. The location is in a residential area and is extremely close to the beach. We had our very young grandchildren with us and the trek back and forth from the beach was very easy. The house has a great set up for multiple families/generations. The bedrooms were spacious and with 2 on the first floor and 3 upstairs there was more than enough room and separation for our family. Also, the property owner was very responsive. We would definitely rent this property again.

Great Accommodations and Location

We Found both the accommodations and the location to be perfect. Three bedrooms with their own bathrooms up stairs and two bedrooms on the first floor that shared a hall bath. We spent the mornings at the beach located at the end of our short street, very easy to come and go, and the afternoon enjoying the pool and the large deck located right outside the French doors on the first floor. Plenty of dishes And cookware. The beds and furniture were very comfortable, and the whole house well Laid out for enjoying time with the family. I would definitely return again in the future.

Wonderful Property!!

My family rented this lovely home for our annual family vacation, and we could not have been more pleased! The home was spacious, well-appointed, and a one minute walk to beach access. We had three families, with ages spanning from older adult to toddler, and this was the perfect layout for us. The pool is also so well-suited for our group as we have some emerging swimmers and they could both touch in much of the pool (that being said, if you have older kids, they may find the depth of the pool limiting, but it was absolutely perfect for us). Communication with the host was always prompt and thorough. We enjoyed our stay so much we hope to re-book next year!

A Family Reunion

We had a wonderful stay in this HH home. Lots of room, well stocked with basics, large kitchen with plenty of dishes, glasses, cookware and utensils. Great long dining table so we could all sit around and eat, talk and enjoy . 5 bedrooms were great for us, as were the 4.5 bathrooms. Although it rained the whole 4 days, we still enjoyed the pool and a walk to the beach. Only negative is that immediately upon entering, there was a strong musty smell. We turned down the AC, but it remained with us. The owners responded quickly with an AC service man, but he said the AC was fine. Never solved the issue. Otherwise, it was a terrific experience.

We enjoyed this property for the amount of space for a family of 8, the heated pool, and it’s great location (steps from the beach!). However, this property could use a deep clean, fresh paint and new carpeting, and some new appliances (and grill). Compared to other properties nearby with the same price point, this property is lacking in updates.

Summer Reunion

We loved this house and chose it for its layout, pool, capacity and proximity to the beach and Coligny Circle. It delivered on all of those points. The homeowners were very attentive to a few minor issues that came up and we enjoyed our week that flew bye. Our only comments for improvement would be a good deep clean and fresh paint.

Fantastic family vacation!

We had a group of two families plus grandparents and the property was a comfortable fit for 10. The location was just steps from the beach and the pool was a great option for afternoons when we were done with the sand for the day. It was also a good size along with a well furnished pool deck. The communication was perfect and it definitely felt as if the owner wants every guest to truly enjoy the stay. We would all recommend this property. Cleanliness was a bit of an issue upon arrival but with a packed post-covid summer and lack of full cleaning staff given the current circumstances we are definitely understanding of their situation. Thanks for sharing your property with us!

Great location

We loved the location and proximity to the beach. We really enjoyed the pool and the option to have it heated. Check in and getting the keys went smoothly. The kitchen table is a great size but a little dinghy probably due to so many renters. Would recommend and stay here again.
