Excellent, very new house outside of Mal Pais

We had a great week in this house! Very new property, simple clean one bedroom with pretty much everything you'd need for a nice stay. Communication with the owner was great, and the manager Julio was excellent, super helpful and nice. He met us at the car rental in Mal Pais and escorted us the short ride up to Hacienda Okhra where the house is. They have cleaners coming every few days that also do a great job. You will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle for the roads in Santa Teresa, but it's true that it's nicer to be a bit away from the beach road which is constantly busy and dusty. House has good AC which we didn't use much. If it's not too hot the ceiling fans are good enough. It has a nice kitchen, so we were able to cook most of our own meals with food from the health food store in Santa Teresa. When we weren't on the beach we very much enjoyed sitting on our porch and reading, enjoying the view. There are other houses just below and above this one, but it's well situated and somehow not a problem. Highly recommended!
