Spacious Beachfront and Private Resort living

The Deck House is located at the lower Western end of the same property as our listing 396719, with VRBO. Entry is through French doors which opens onto it's own private patio. Upon entry into the apartment the kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, full refrigerator and a queen size bed to accommodate 2 guests only. As you gaze out to sea, this unobstructed view of the south shore leaves you in “awe”. If you yearn for peace, tranquility and space you have come to the end of your search. This reverse air conditioned unit has a separate bathroom with shower. Laundry facility on site which makes your vacation perfect. This resort area has the finest restaurants and a major bus route for convenience at the top of “de hill” all within walking distance. As you step out your French door you walk straight into our fruits, veggies and herb gardens. Our chickens will provide you with fresh eggs....NO roasters. You will be grated by the lovely sounds of the ocean and the many birds especially the kiskadee birds and the moorning doves. Yes, your own prinvate beach to enjoy – Crossbay Beach only steps away. The flight of steps immediately to the side of the unit take you to Deck 80. This large open patio elevates to a common area which is unobstructed, overlooking three beaches, Princess Beach Club and the Reef's Resort. Perfect for Whale Watching (seasonal) and taking in the best sunsets. Welcome to Bermuda. Come and "feel the love".

The property was absolutely beautiful! The views from the patio even better than the pics show. Location on the south coast just perfect to all the beauty Bermuda has to offer. The best part is the secluded cove down below. Lorna and her family are great hosts!

Most of the time we are privileged with lovely guests that once Greg get's chatting he cannot stop. I have to remind him that our guests are here for a minute and then they have to go. Next thing he is wiping out the barbeque and there goes your dinner reservations. It was really nice having you back again. And you brought a friend to dive into our world. How wonderful was that. We stayed for two nights. Of the three rentals we stayed at in Bermuda, this was our favorite. The hosts were very accommodating and the unit was clean and as described. The private beach was just a short walk down the stairs, and it was beautiful and empty in late October even though the weather was perfect. The location is great on the southern shore of Bermuda for all the stunning South beaches. We had a rental car and it was easy to park there. Next time we visit Bermuda we will definitely stay here again if available.

We loved our stay! We stayed at a nearby resort last year & Lorna’s Gemstones property hooked us in 100%! The view was unbelievable, private beach, directly on the bus route, and a 3 minute walk to Henry iiiv restaurant which has became one of our favorites (sushi was amazing!)! Close enough to horseshoe bay, where we also had a delish lunch at the Gulfstream Restaurant!We absolutely hope to return to the Deck House! Our room was small but perfect and we needed nothing else! Bed was comfy, AC worked great, filtered water, beach towels & toys.

This is a lovely property that has all basic features and amenities for a casual comfortable stay. The location is out of this world-overlooking the ocean with just steps down to a secluded beach that feels almost like a private beach. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating. We look forward to booking with them again. It was an absolutely incredible summer vacation.

Perfect stay at Gemstone. Can’t wait to return soon. From the moment we arrived Lorna was an amazing host. She welcomed us warmly showed us around and even joined us upstairs to share a bottle of wine. Our place was so cozy. Fully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. Deck House in Bermuda

We spent a week at the 'Deck House'. It was a wonderful place to stay and the location was awesome. Lorna was very friendly, helpful and provided us with many suggestions on things to do and places to go. The views from the upper deck were amazing and we enjoyed many meals outside looking at the views and listening to the ocean. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Wonderful weekend in Bermuda

Lorna was a great host, very responsive with communications and provided transportation tips to/from airport. We basically had a private beach during our stay, easy walk to eat and other beaches, room nice and comfortable for our stay.

Very nice

The location is a little off the beaten path and relatively quiet/private - which we liked. The view of the water and beach below is absolutely beautiful. You have access to a semi private little beach down below, with a wonderful view on the terrace to sit and eat breakfast. Lorna and her husband are very friendly and kind.

Our busy, brave, bikers. I can honestly say I was scared for this couple as I watched them maneuver their mopeds over the week they stayed iin the Deck House. Since our hill would have been extremely challenging for them to walk it was apparent they had made a good choice. Not only that but I was relieved that they were great bikers. PLEASE keep in mind an EV may have been a better choice. It was probable a better deal renting 2 bikes compared to one EV. I am so glad we had no incidences. Only the oil spill. 😃 Last time you brought the entire family. How did our tiny living compare? PEACEFUL right!

The best location by far!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Gemstones so very much, had a wonderful time visiting the South Shore beaches including the private beach (Cross Bay) at the property. Lorna was so pleasant and kind to work with, we thank you very much for being so helpful. Enjoyed the lettuce from your little garden a couple of times. The views right from the room and Upper Deck area are stunning . We will treasure our memories and hope to make more with another visit in the near future. Thank you Lorna!

Great Location

Amazing!

This property is exceptional. From our initial stages of searching for a property to pre-visit questions and arrival on the property, it was seamless. Lorna and Greg are very kind, exceptional hosts and we chatted with them often. Greg is an expert on island food, and Lorna gave us helpful advice on where to go, how to get there and general island knowledge. We enjoyed seeing them every day, and wouldn't hesitate to go back. The view from the property is stunning and the private beach was perfect!

The Deck House is an amazing Gem of Bermuda. Look no further than this property if you want an extraordinary, relaxing stay. The view every day is gorgeous; the ability to walk to your own private beach is out of this world. The Deck House was clean, stocked with everything you need to cook with. The bed was super comfortable. The best part of our stay-was the hosts-Lorna and Greg Wilson. Friendly, hospitable… we learned so much talking with Greg at night. Photos do not do it justice

We stayed for 8 nights, the property is simply incredible. The views are breathtaking and it's about 1 minute from one of, if not, the best beach on the island. We went all over and couldn't find a beach we liked better.100% recommend to anyone that wants an excellent location and a wonderful host.If we ever come back to Bermuda in the future, we are definitely going to be looking at Gemstones again.Thanks for a wonderful vacation Lorna!

Gemstones is a property that has all the qualities for large, medium and small families to enjoy. It is tucked away in an area of Bermuda called the Gold Coast overlooking the prettiest Private Beach called Crossbay Beach. Imagine someone placed you in the middle of the best resort area and said "have fun". The best restaurants, the kindest neighborhood, your own private beach with nature at it's best. You are right in the middle of three of the finest resorts Bermuda has to offer. All you have to do is bring your own groceries. You awake to the ocean and the sound of chirping birds everyday. You look out to sea and is amazed that God has created so many shades of blue. In the warmer summer months Longtail birds fill the skies. In the later evenings as the sunsets you watch the large cruise ships sailing on the oceans. Stay a little longer and you will be hypnotized by the beacon of Gibb's Hill Lighthouse.
