Large studio apartment w/ views. Close to beaches

Beautiful 650 square foot apartment with full size kitchen over looking the turquoise waters of south shore in Bermuda. Twizy charger at apartment private drive. Within 500 meters of Bermuda best beach for snorkeling, Church Bay. The apartment is across the road from the Reefs Resort (restaurants, bars and amazing spa). On major bus routes (#7 bus stop at the end of the drive), moped and electric car rentals are available next door. There are 5 restaurants within walking distance as well as a golf course and bars. There are no additional cleaning fees. 2nd detached bedroom to studio available w/ king bed, sitting area, bathroom, laundry and private patio. 2nd bedroom is available for rent as a 2nd bedroom to the studio only and has a fridge and coffee maker but no kitchen facilities and is available at $175pn in season or $140pn from 1 December to 31 March depending on availability.

Everything about this property was perfect. The location was easy to town and close to numerous beaches and golf courses. The Reefs hotel and its excellent restaurants are just down the hill. The property has a great pool and outdoor seating area and the unit itself was clean, well equipped and ideal for a couple. Finally, Chris and Donna are the consumate hosts and we will definitely return.

Wow! This was the perfect place for my husband and I. We loved the location,the feeling of privacy and the pool just up the steps made it feel like we were staying at a resort. The hosts couldn't have been kinder. We had to contact them several times because of a flight problem and a cancelation because of the Hurricane. Response was immediate and hosts rearranged our taxi each time. They supplied us with everything we needed for our stay plus snacks,water and drinks in the fridge. It was nice having a full kitchen since Bermuda is expensive to eat out for all meals. We have been to Bermuda several times and this was our favorite location and rental.

This beautiful studio apartment was perfect in every way. The photos tell you everything. Down the hill and across the street is the Reefs Resort where there are a couple of restaurants. The #7 bus is also at the bottom of the hill and will take you pretty much wherever you will want to go. Donna and Chris were fantastic with communication and even left bus tickets…just leave for what you use at the end of your stay. They also connected us with a driver for our trip to and from the airport. The pool is also beautiful and a huge added bonus as is the onsite washer/dryer. We highly recommend this apartment and hope to come back!!

Amazing studio in Bermuda

This studio and the property grounds are astounding. We highly recommend it. It is in a wonderful location by the pink sand beaches. Donna is an amazing host and very responsive. She goes above and beyond and graciously helped arrange our airport taxi. Our stay was unforgettable. .

Mother daughter vacation in paradise :)

Donna and Chris were almost invisible yet very attentive to our needs. We had the pool to ourselves and the charming garden filled with the evening lullaby of whistling tree frogs. The outside terrace and BBQ were a wonderful bonus on top of the breathtaking beaches within walking distance. We are grateful to have partaken in their paradise:)

Southhampton apartment

This was our first time staying with Chris and Donna. Everything was wonderful. We loved the apartment, the kitchen was well equipped and was perfect for us, as we like to cook in most meals. Spectacular views from this lovely studio apartment in Southampton Parish

This well appointed studio apartment with spectacular views was opposite the Reefs Resort in Southampton Parish. It was within walking distance of numerous restaurants and on the number 7 bus route to Hamilton and Naval Dockyard. Great walking in the area on the Railway trail as long as you are not afraid of a few hills. Apartment is very well equipped and you have access to a lovely pool. Really recoommend it.

My husband and I have been to Bermuda before, but always felt rushed to return to the cruise. This time we flew and had the most relaxing, yet productive vacation ever. Donna is so kind, welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable. She helped us with anything we needed, from directions to transportation, and even some snacks. The apartment is just enough. Plenty of space, clean, and cool. Oh, and the view! We wanted for nothing, except to stay for a while longer. Thank you for your hospitality!

Perfect location & incredible views! Best stay in Bermuda!!

Look no further than this perfect apartment in paradise! I am so happy we chose to stay at Rock Sound! It was extremely clean, had all of the comforts of home, a gorgeous private pool and more! It’s located in the best spot on the island (south shore) which is where all of the best beaches are including world famous Horseshoe Bay! It’s also located across the street and walking distance to The Reefs Resort which had delicious food and drinks. The view from the apartment is breathtaking. Before our arrival and throughout our stay, Donna was thorough with directions, instructions, and communication. She even offered to purchase bus passes, groceries and arrange for a private taxi to/from the airport prior to our arrival. Her hospitality is top notch!! During our stay, she checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed and even went out and purchased a fan for us to use while we slept because we were a little stuffy the first night. The A/C cooled the apartment nicely and the water pressure was great too. We literally could not ask for better hosts or a better place to stay. Everything was absolutely perfect! We will definitely be back to stay here again!!!

All the fabulous reviews about Donna & Chris’s Rock Sound place are absolutely true - the place and the hosts are extraordinarily kind, caring and comfortable. Donna arranged everything from our airport taxi (ask for Shawn to get you - he knows all the best local haunts!) - to getting us wine, seltzer, fruits and bus tickets! Rock Sound’s location is superb as you can walk or bus to fabulous beaches in a matter of minutes. Take the bus to Warwick Beach South and you can walk along the coast trail and discover beautiful secluded beaches and coves - location - location - location!!! The bus stop is at the bottom of their driveway and you can easily travel to Dockyard or Hamilton. The scooter rental is also a short walk from Rock Sound, ( ask for Kevin at the scooter rental) and Rock Sound is ideally located by South Road, so you can scooter to amazing sites and local hangouts - especially Woody’s for their fish sandwich - Cooper Island for it’s natural beauty- The Mad Hatter in Hamilton for dinner - and the Restless Native Catamaran out of Dockyard for snorkeling- all a treat with beautiful Rock Sound as your home base. Best of all - Rock Sound has an amazing pool - and the sunsets from the pool are stunning ! So, another 5 review and rating for this great property- it is an amazing place to stay! Thanks Donna and Chris - we love Rock Sound and you too!

Beautiful Escape from Winter in Canada

This was a fantastic escape from a tough, cold winter in eastern Canada. If you want to be along the south shore and its gorgeous beaches, this is a perfect place to stay. The view is spectacular from Rock Sound, and it's so peaceful there, day and night. Donna kindly picked us up our bus passes in advance--what a great way to get around! The fact that the bus stops are literally down the hill on South Shore Road means you have a convenient and efficient way to travel the island. The apartment is clean, roomy and has everything you need--beach towels, freezer packs for a picnic, umbrellas, large fridge, lots of cupboard space, lounging area...and outside, the little patio and swimming pool were perfect! We wanted quick access to the beaches so this place didn't disappoint. The view in the mornings and evenings was breathtaking. Donna and Chris were extremely helpful any time we had questions, and Roslyn is a great ambassador for Bermuda. She was on time for our flight arrival and departure, and stopped at the grocery store so we could stock up. Everyone on the island is so friendly, kind and helpful....other places we've travelled could learn a lot about hospitality from Bermudians! We will return to Rock Sound for the America's Cup race in 2017. Can't wait!!

Why they chose this property

We bought Rock Sound in 2010 after looking at dozens of homes. As soon as we saw Rock Sound we fell in love with it as it is in a wonderful neighbourhood with amazing views and lots to do nearby.

What makes this property unique

Rock Sound is literally across the road from the famous Reefs Hotel with its restaurants, bars, beach and spa. Within a mile is the Fairmont Southampton hotel with numerous restaurants, beach, bars, water sports, tennis and golf. But what really makes this a special place to stay is the proximity of beaches, restaurants, Gibbs Hill lighthouse and public transportation. You could not find a place to stay with all of this without paying hotel resort costs!
