About this property

Dunes Park Queenscliff

This comfortable beach house enjoys views of Swan Bay to the front and it is just minutes walk to the beach. Perfectly located in ‘The Narrows’ of Queenscliff, it is just a 1.5km walk into the historical Queenscliff township or an easy 3km bike ride on the bike trail to Point Lonsdale.

This mid-century beach house has all the creature comforts you would expect, whilst preserving some of the original charm of its era. If you are looking for sleek, modern luxury you won’t find it here. Instead, you can enjoy a bona fide beach house where you can unwind and genuinely relax.

True to the period, the front porch has been enclosed to create a sunroom which is the perfect place to sit of a morning and lose yourself in a good book. A massive kitchen accommodates more than one cook so food preparation becomes a social event. The large open plan dining and lounge create a central hub of activity. There is a sleepout for the kids as well as a mudroom to dump the sandy shoes and beach gear after a day at the beach. This is holidays as they used to be, kids, teens, pets, family and friends coming together to share food, conversation and the great outdoors.

Walk just a few minutes for direct access to the beach. Sit and enjoy reflective hours watching the ships come in, or frolic with the kids on the sand and in the waves. To the right is the dog-friendly beach and to the left is the peaceful ‘humans only’ beach. A short stroll along the sand takes you to the patrolled beach for safe swimming for littlies.

There is much to do in Queenscliff. Board the ferry to Sorrento and keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, or take the historical steam train to Drysdale. Enjoy leisurely cafe breakfasts, lunch by the water at the marina or picturesque drives to local wineries. Go cycling on the rail trail, surf at Point Lonsdale beach or stroll along the boardwalk or lovers lane. As the sun sets, light the bbq and enjoy a wine in the courtyard or a Pimms and lemonade if you want to relive the era.
