A stay at Nelson Gay unveils six decades of charm and sophistication presented over 1.5 acres of mature and immaculately lush gardens. Located on a beautiful half-mile of beach on the outskirts of Speightstown, Barbados, its surrounding waters and reefs are a playground for swimmers and snorkelers.

Nelson Gay, a captivating Caribbean estate located on Barbados' serene west coast, presents an unparalleled fusion of historic allure and modern luxury. Set amidst two acres of verdant tropical gardens, this enchanting property offers an oasis of tranquility and indulgence.

The main residence, an impeccably restored coral stone villa dating back to the 18th century, features five spacious bedrooms, each exquisitely appointed with plush furnishings. Each bedroom room offers lovely views of the lush gardens. or the azure Caribbean Sea.

This family-friendly villa has a bounty of restful spaces and formal or al fresco dining areas, including a delightful option to dine by candlelight. The dwelling features a predominantly white canvas—a compliment to the tropical landscape—and is accentuated with several unique pieces and antiques. The sleeping quarters are remarkably fresh and airy, with comfortable beds, quality cotton sheets, and hypoallergenic pillows.

Sip cocktails by the sea in the elegant garden gazebo, complete with a wet bar. Two covered terraces on the north and south wing bedrooms offer additional privacy and comfort, while on the seaside, guests can enjoy safe swimming and snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters. Enjoy family-friendly activities with an open-air gym and a pickleball court!

Further outside are three charming chattel houses and a guest cottage, all with en suite bathrooms as well, that can be rented for an additional cost to accommodate up to 18 guests.

The villa manager and their diligent staff are fully dedicated to your needs during your stay and will make your holiday truly relaxing, stress-free, and unforgettable with chef service. 3 meals per day, butler service for one butler and housekeeping service. All staffing is provided six days per week.

This was our 1st trip on the island and it exceeded our expectations! We had the best time playing games, watching movies, feeding the monkeys and of course playing at the beach\pool. We can't wait to come back!

Nelson Gay was exactly as the pictures described! Our expecttations of the home and gardens was overly fulfilled! The staff were wonderful and worked quietly behind the scenes to ensure our vacation was a blessing. Many thanks to the staff concierge and transportation team along with the owners for ensuring our time here at Nelson Gay was great with many memories to look back upon fondly! Everything I Expected & More

This home on 2 acres is beautifully manicured and spacious. The staff is professional and not invasive to your privacy. They are there to be helpful and provide as many excellent meals as you wish. We learned a lot about Barbados from them - as this was a first time experience for some in the group. The villa has 5 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms - a few with outdoor terraces - well appointed and cleaned immaculately - very simple in decor. The outdoor space, as well as indoor, for relaxing and dining. The very long pool between the house and the beach is perfectly warm - at least this time of the year, we were told it is heated during the "cooler" months. Because everyone not only enjoyed the villa and its appointments, we wish to explore the island more so we are returning next year.
