Excellent stay

PO Cottage is in a lovely treed setting, quiet and well back from the road. Light and airy inside with both split system and wood heaters. Quality linen and towels, wide range of utensils and comfortable beds and couch. Only a short drive from Ballarat in beautiful country. Leigh and Cassie very good hosts. We had a very enjoyable two weeks stay. Jane and Mick.

Just what we need

It was a perfect little getaway, the property was lovely and quiet and the home was spacious perfect for our family with 2 kids Definitely recommend staying here.

Stunning tranquility

Highly recommend Post Office Cottage. It is in a beautiful setting, the cottage garden is so beautiful with roses, a variety of birds and tall gum trees. The cottage was warm with a well stocked wood burner, comfortable sofa and stylish dining table. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine. Two beautiful bedrooms and a large bathroom completed the cottage. Everything needed was provided. Absolutely loved our few days there .

Amazing

The pictures don’t do this place justice. It is absolutely gorgeous. So tranquil and idyllic. The cottage was plenty spacious for a family of 4 and had all the things we needed. The beds were super comfy. Cassie and Leigh were excellent hosts and let the kids feed the animals for them. Will definitely come again. Thanks for the wine on arrival a lovely treat!

Cosy cottage

This was the perfect cottage for us (2 adults & 2 kids) to base ourselves & then travel into Ballarat (about 15 mins). Beautiful fireplace (wood provided) that kept us toasty with oil heaters in each room. Kangaroos visiting each morning was a highlight for the kids. The general store (1min away) did a great burger & fish and chips. The owners were super easy to communicate with & so responsive. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

Warm and Cosy

My partner and I had booked the weekend away for our anniversary and where absolutely hanging for this trip. When we arrived we just fell in love with the cottage and property - when heading off to the shops we had an issue with the key which was fixed within a few hours AND had been left a bottle of red wine and some snacks which made our drive there well worth it. We had booked dinner for Saturday night but ended up cancelling because we just wanted to stay in with the fire on and enjoy the cottage - cancelled our dinner AGAIN on Sunday because we wanted to do the same. It was absolutely beautiful and definitely felt like home away from home making this anniversary an amazing one. We will definitely be booking here again and recommend it to our family and friends if we or they are heading up this way again.

Nice place to stay

I enjoyed the quiet space that this location provides the cottage was comfortable and relaxing. The short distance to facilities time wise amazed me as I expected this location to be much further away. Friendly relaxed atmosphere, well presented.

Very cosy and relaxing stay

We stayed here with our two children for a weekend away. The house was just what we needed - fresh country air, lots of trees and lots of space. The kids loved running around outside and saying hello to the goats in the backyard. The house was a perfect size, clean and comfortable. The fireplace certainly warmed the house up in no time. The only thing missing was a few more chairs and table to sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy the sound of the birds. Overall we loved our stay. The kids didn't want to leave. We hope to come back for another country escape soon.

Perfect Winter escape

The Post Office Cottage is a very comfortable dwelling with a beautifully relaxing wood fire. The cottage is situated on a secluded property surrounded by tall gum trees, and only a ten minute drive to Ballarat. Very peaceful and cosy. We will be back!
