What an amazing spot! Clean, spacious, and a perfect location. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. There were tons of towels and check-in/check-out was easy. I only wish we had stayed longer. We would love to come back and spend more time in the pool, at the beach, and bird watching. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Just finished a week-long stay and our entire family loved this home. Everything is exactly as the photos show. Highlights are the great pool, lanai, and open floorplan. This home offers above average amenities for the kitchen and bathrooms as well as bicycles and beach equipment. Loni helped us check in to the house and was super responsive when needed. Highly recommend this home...we will be back!

Great location and nicely kept

Our family stayed at this property for a week. We loved that it was close to Tigertail beach and within walking distance to the grocery store and several restaurants. The house had toys for the pool and beach and everything we needed for an enjoyable day at the beach. The owners were very quick to reply to our inquiries throughout the week! Overall fantastic week for our family!

Loved the Osprey:)

We stayed at this property for 20 days in January. The home was right down the street from Tiger tail beach which was awesome. We haven’t visited Marco for many years, but cannot wait to return. The location of the property was great and we biked and walked to most places. The lanai , pool and backyard were so relaxing and we loved that it backed to a nature preserve that had many birds visit. Overall the house was clean and well appointed.

Marco visit

As expected. Could use some better beach chairs. Would have been nice if the pool was heated and the outdoor speakers worked.

Thank you for your comments, as far as we are aware the pool heater was on and generally remains so but there is a maximum temperature for which the pool heater is set and to exceed this would incur the rapid breakdown of pool chemicals. There is a weekly pool check for chemicals and pool maintenance. With respect to the outside speakers built into the structure of the house, these worked on a very old and outdated stereo system which has long been defunct and in light of modern means of listening to music and dialogue has never needed to be replaced. The speakers, if removed, would only leave holes in the ceiling. Any beach chairs in the garage were left by previous guests and not provided by us. Thank you for visiting

Marco Island gem

Location is unbeatable - easy walk to Tigertail Beach in one direction, stores/restaurants/conveniences in the other. Don't miss Wednesday Farmer's Market, Dolphin Explorers at Rose Marina, kayaking in Rookery Bay. Internet unreliable and unfortunately pool heater malfunctioned for most of our stay for which we got a refund. Owners & management team responsive.

Nicely appointed house in great location

The house is spacious, well-decorated and well-cared for, with a large pool deck with tables in both the shade and sun and a good sized pool. Most importantly to us, the house in located within an easy walk or easy drive to Tigertail Beach, which we visited daily. We were there for a holiday with the family and it was well-equipped for cooking our meals. There's really nothing missing except beach chairs, of which there was only one. We were happy walking to the beach or staying at the house lounging by the pool. We had a wonderful stay!

Winter Escape

The location of the house was ideal, quiet and private. The pool was great for relaxing and having a drink. Our only issue was with the wifi; it would turn off intermittently…. So we would have to hot spot our zoom calls. The owner suggested using the direct cable to the box which did help… but meant meetings could not be done at the desk in the office. Otherwise the place is amazing and we would definitely return. Julie R

Just wonderful! Great location, clean, well stocked, exactly as listed

We totally enjoyed our stay here, in fact we hated to leave. The house was extremely clean and has been well maintained. The kitchen is stocked well if you want to cook. We enjoyed lounging in the pool and exploring the island. There is a lot of equipment for the beach if you need it. We were a little sad that the eagles no longer nest there, but there is a very active Osprey nest that we enjoyed watching. The female appears to have laid her eggs this week as she went from flying around to just staying put by the time we left. Her partner is busy hunting and returning to feed her. This house is one of the nicest vacation rentals that we have come across!

The property is well located, comfortable, and suitable for 4–6 people. We enjoyed opening the lanai doors, which made the home feel spacious. It was an easy walk to the beach and nearby shopping. Our issue began the day we arrived. We rented a Jeep with removable top/doors. When we opened the two-car garage, we discovered one side was already occupied by a vehicle. As we tried to make space for our Jeep and its removable parts by shifting a plastic storage cabinet, we heard noises - the owners were watching us via a Ring camera and attempting to get our attention. We missed a call from the property manager and received an email stating, “There is not room for your car. Please only use the driveway for parking.” This was confusing/frustrating for several reasons:1.The VRBO listing clearly shows a two-car garage.2.A garage door remote was provided.3.The listing states parking is available IN the garage.Without access to the garage, our vehicle was covered inside and out with condensation each morning and required towel-drying before use.We didn’t let this ruin our trip. What upset us was the response after we reached out before leaving to request a small refund due to the garage not being usable as advertised. After 24 hours without a response, we followed up and received this reply: “If they’d checked with us before renting the car, we could’ve told them the garage wasn’t big enough. It was their decision to rent it so not sure we should be liable for compensation.”

Great location

The house and location were great and the pool is wonderful. the only downside I would say is the checkout requirements were different than any other vacation rental I have had. I have never had to remake the beds or had a limit on how many loads of laundry the cleaning crew would do( only 1, if more you get charged per load on top of the cleaning fee) Also we were not allowed to leave any clean dishes in the dishwasher. I have rented multiple vacation homes even after Covid and have not run into this. Usually you strip the beds, put any dirty towels in the bathtub, start a load of laundry, and any dirty dishes you put in the dishwasher and run it. It would be difficult if not impossible to comply with the cleaning requirements if you had an early morning flight to catch. In fact if you did have an early flight to catch I would suggest checking out a day early and getting a hotel the night before your flight. Personally, I would also prefer the cleaning crew remade the beds, because then I would know the sheets had been changed. After I found out we had to remake the beds I thought how do I know that the people before me actually changed the sheets? Especially when there are no dirty linens to prove it? Also, there is not much room in the pantry for storage if you plan to cook much( which we do) and the only spices available to renters are some salt and pepper so plan accordingly if you want to cook much while renting.

Hi Jennifer, Thank you for leaving a review. We appreciate it. The checkout instructions say to start the dishwasher (not that you can't leave clean dishes in it) and start a load of laundry before you leave. The instructions do not say to remake the beds, we have never suggested that the beds are made by guests.

Plumbing leak equals vacation nightmare

The property was clean and well stocked. It was dark when we arrived, we were tired and hungry. Samis was nearby so picked up pizza ,unpacked and called it a night. Unfortunately we were awakened at around 4:30 am as the smoke detector malfunctioned and began chirping away. We located a ladder and were able to silence it and eventually returned to sleep. We notified the owners the next day, in case they needed to replace it. They were very nice and the next day sent someone to check on it. I notified her that there was also a sound like a toilet running that had been there since we arrived but that we weren't sure if that was possibly normal for the house as everything appeared to be working well. The next day on Tuesday, another person came to check on the sound and thought it was a water leak. The next day a plumber came and we were told there was a leak and we would need to leave as they needed to shut off the water. They told us to call vrbo for help in finding a place to stay. After being on hold with vrbo for over an hour and the call becoming disconnected, we were told they would move us to a hotel. I explained that we had a dog and I didn't think any hotels on the island took dogs. That I had found another house that was available and then was told that then they didn't need to help me, I tried to explain that we could use their help and they hung up. We had reserved this house for 15 nights and thankfully we were able to stay the fifth night with the water to the house only on when we needed it. The owners did refund for 10 days. But not for one dog fee or cleaning fee. Also no return for booking fee or required insurance. So we ended up getting less than half our money back, spent hours trying to find someplace to go, and on the phone with vrbo and Packed up our belongings with NO financial consideration for the inconvenience and stress that we were experiencing. We understand that the leak was not predictable, but we were not the ones that were unable to fulfill the contract. The property manager did not answer our phone calls or call back to answer questions for hours. ALSO,BE CAREFUL WHEN BOOKING THIS PLACE FOR YOUR VACATION as there is a daily charge for heating the pool, and required property insurance, and a second pet fee that were not shown in the original vrbo listing.

Whilst we were desperately sorry that the renters had to leave the house, the water leak was under foundations of the property, requiring a plumber to tunnel under the house to repair three leaks. The water had to be turned off because we were losing approx 100 gallons of water an hour. This couldn’t be completed easily or quickly. We did all we could from here in the UK as did our team on Marco, to ensure the guests were moved quickly so as not to spoil their vacation. VRBO were contacted immediately the problem became known to us and we were told that the guests personally had to request a transfer of properties, we couldn’t do it on their behalf. The guests were told and were provided the correct contact details. Regarding the refund. We only receive approx 70% of the overall fee that VRBO charge, so therefore we can only refund from the monies we receive from VRBO We refunded all the days that the guests couldn’t stay PLUS the pet fee. Pool heating costs us in added electricity charges so that is passed onto the guests, especially now the fuel costs are so much more expensive. Insurance is a necessary evil as we have had previous guests leave the house in a terrible state and have had to pay for repairs and extra cleaning. The pet fee is another essential as it takes extra cleaning time after a dog has visited to ensure pool, yard and house are thoroughly cleaned The house cannot be provided without these extra charges otherwise we will end up paying for people to be on vacation there. Our manager provides a detailed quote before each guest decides to book so that is the time to make the queries regarding extra charges. We endeavour to be very fair to ALL of our guests and our team on Marco are superb and will do all they can to help. All of our previous guests have loved the property and indeed we have many return visitors This was an totally unforeseen event that was dealt with as soon as possible

We loved it!

The house was just what we needed for a peaceful relaxing vacation. The bikes, pool floats, beach toys were great to use and get around with. Tiger tail beach is nice and fairly close to the house. I would say a 5-10 min bike ride or a 15-20 min walk. We had 4 adults and 2 children and were comfortable. We were in touch with the homes manager and she was very helpful. We also spoke with the owners when booking and they are also lovely. We will Very likely be back next year!

Great Spring Break Spot

Our family (parents, grandparents and kids 5 and 7) absolutely loved staying here. The house was clean, the pool was great and we loved opening the sliding doors during the day. Easy walk to Tigertail Beach (about 1 mi to get to the Gulf). Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed + linens, beach towels and beach toys. Would suggest updating the bedding (one comforter had a large rip) and adding hooks in bathrooms/bedrooms for towels and sweatshirts. Gas tank for grill was empty, despite the binder giving us an impression there would be an extra full one in garage (we ended up having to buy a refill). Despite this, highly recommend and would stay again when on Marco.
