Southern Mountain Garden Retreat

A tranquil retreat at the foot of The South Mountain Preserve with a view of one of Phoenix's best public golf courses ! We are in a very quiet, small gated community which has a well maintained Pool & Hot Tub to relax in. It's a 10 minute walk to hiking, biking & Horse riding trails at the preserve. Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is only a 7 minute drive away yet you never hear a plane go by!
Shopping & Dining are only a few minutes away in any direction with some of the best Southwest restaurants awaiting you.
You are only a 15 minute drive to Scottsdale, Downtown Phoenix or Chandler. ASU is just a couple of miles away if you're visiting for the annual Spring training.
The house itself is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are 3 bedrooms: The master has a King size bed & an ensuite bathroom & Cable T.V. There is a Queen size bed in another bedroom with a full bathroom nearby in the hallway to share with the third bedroom which has adult size bunk beds with the lower bunk being a larger double bed. A pack- n -play for your baby with the appropriate bedding is provided, bed linens, towels for the house & the pool, Shower essentials ( soap, shampoo & conditioner) & all paper products are also provided. The kitchen has all the utensils you will need for cooking & serving. There is a gas grill for you to barbecue in the back yard where you can listen to the sound of the fountain & watch native birds come for a drink.
The driveway can accommodate a large SUV & there is nearby street parking too.
We have decorated the house with objects of art & handmade rugs we love & hope you enjoy too. We always strive to make it the home you will always remember & where you made some great memories!

Perfect for our family of 6. Beds are very comfortable, house is tastefully decorated, appliances and furniture top of the line and in great condition, quiet and safe community. Location was super convenient for us, not far from airport, enjoyed the trails nearby too. Owner was very responsive and accommodating. So happy we picked this house for our weekend in Phoenix!

Great place for golf!

This property it very clean and is easy access to golf both at the Raven and Legacy golf club. We attended a lesson at Tour Striker golf academy located at the Raven. This place is highly accessible and close to great food options as well. Thanks for making this such an easy stay!

Awesome quiet gated community close to canal for walking and offers great pool and hot tub. The unit was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. King bed was comfortable. The patio was our favorite part! We grilled and enjoyed the peaceful private setting. Only suggestion for improvement would be new carpet vs the stained carpet and rugs.

This was a clean property that was better than depicted in the pictures. The 3 codes (gate, door, alarm) were kind of cumbersome but worth it. The back yard was small but very private considering the house was in town and close to other houses. We would stay again.

This house exceeded our expectations! Beautiful, clean, beautifully decorated in a gated community. Has a community pool and hot tub. Used the hot tub 1 day and was really nice. Has a lovely back patio area with a fountain. Plenty of space and had everything we needed to feel like home! The owner has thought of everything from providing pool towels to laundry detergent! Saadi answered all my questions quickly and was very helpful! Lovely stay!

It was nice and quiet

The house was very clean. Outside noise was not heard inside. The owners were very attentive and quickly responded to my messages. The only thing that I didn’t like is that there was glass everywhere. I have a 2 year old and I had to follow him around the house to make sure he didn’t break anything. It would work perfect for older kids but the little toddlers was a bit challenging. The patio was very nice too.

Well-decorated home

This home has nice features like the artwork and decor. The outside if very nice and includes a dining table and fountain. We stayed there with three children, and I am not certain this is the best home for children as the rugs require special cleaning, and some of the leather seats and stools are difficult for children to navigate. The description includes a reference to hiking trails nearby. If these are the South Mountain trails, I am not sure I would have walked to the trails. I also did not see trails on the mountain. The home is in a neighborhood that is gated. There are a lot of codes to navigate - a code for the community gate, then the house, then an alarm for the home. This was a lot - once I forgot an item and had to run back into the house. I was worried I would set off the alarm. An outside light must also be kept on at all times, and the light comes into one of the bedrooms.

We have provided very clear photos showing the layout and type of furniture we have inside the house. If you have children who will not be comfortable with them you could clearly see it and perhaps choose a different property. The various codes serve to keep you protected & you can always write them down. The South mountain trails have a clear & concise map. It’s out of our control that they are a quarter of a mile away. The handmade rugs are very easy to clean if you let us know what you spill on them. Please don’t be intimidated by this review. Everything is easy to navigate! The light switches are very easy to control if you want them on or off! I’m not sure what this guest was really having trouble with!!

Saadi was a great host and his home was wonderful—clean and thoroughly stocked with everything we needed. The only thing that needed attention was the fountain, but we didn’t spend time on the patio so it wasn’t a problem for us.

April Wedding

My son and his family joined me for my Niece’s wedding. The home had plenty of room for all 6 of us. It was close to the airport as well as the wedding venue. Beautiful Home Base to Enjoy Phoenix

This property was amazingly quiet and comfortable for our family of four. We never expected to have such a beautiful back patio with so many different types of birds when we were physically located in a large city, but this home felt secluded and we enjoyed sitting outside by the fountain whenever we were at home. The rooms were spacious and had comfortable mattresses, and it had an exceptionally well-outfitted kitchen. We were able to get everywhere we wanted to visit within 30 minutes as long as we avoided rush hours.
