Eveything thing was nice and simple. Only thing we had trouble with which isnt a big deal was it was hard to change clothes because of bedroom doors with windows and no door upstairs, but that was fine. Maybe just a curtain on door downstairs, I had to change clothes in my closet haha. Overall all experience though it was perfect and we enjoyed it!

We had a Great Time

This house isn't going to be featured on parade of homes anytime soon. It has obviously seen a lot of good times. That did not affect our vacation. We had everything we needed and were comfortable. The path to the lake is beautiful. We enjoyed the ping pong table and the hot tub. The location is perfect, private but convenient.

Great location for a group getaway!

We rented this for our annual cabin weekend with coworkers (nine 20-somethings). It was an awesome spot and had a ton of great amenities - plenty of beds for us, dog-friendly, hot tub, ping pong table, and four parking spots. Also only a short walk from the lake - was only 20 degrees outside but the frozen lake was a beautiful view! Plus only about a 15 minute drive from Wisp and the surrounding restaurants. Check-in process was a little confusing (lock box was great, but we weren't sure about the check-in/check-out process - a simple call to the leasing office worked for us). Overall a highly recommended spot if you have a large group of people!!

Great weekend getaway

This was a great place for a quick weekend getaway with friends. The house was clean and well cared for, and the beds were comfortable. I'd actually call this a 5 bedroom house. There is the loft with a King and bathroom, the main floor has a room with a queen and one with a twin and double (and a bathroom) and below is a pyramid bunk and a room with a queen, as well as another bathroom. One thing to note is the loft is open, and the downstairs queen room has a door with windows, so you do lack privacy in those spaces. However, all in all it was a great space. Lots of privacy around the house, nice outdoor firepit and well-kept hot tub!

Family Getaway

This property was secluded but close to amenities. Home was well equipped and all utilities were working as expected. Cleanliness was a bit lacking. - cobwebs in light fixtures and windows and remnants of past pets including some pet feces in the basement. Pet urine smell in basement sofa and efforts to cover basement odors was off-putting. Since this house is offered by a major rental company in the area, we felt that the cleaning standards were a bit lower than they should be. We did enjoy our time and it was nice to have the enclosed deck and yard space for the young children in our family.

The house was absolutely filthy.

It seems as though no one inspected the property for cleanliness before our arrival. However, on the kitchen table we were greeted with a “Taylor Made “ lunch box and check in/welcome info. It says the standards for cleaning in the welcome binder and the word “spotless” was used.... it was quite the opposite. I have pictures of everything!! - from dirty dishes to hair all over the discolored comforter, soap scum on the shower... next the dangers of the home - there needs to be a warning label on the fireplace with how HOT it gets!!! My 1 year old has a blister, next the hammock needs to be on a swivel hook, I turned to face the fire and it came off and I slammed my tailbone into the concrete. Thank god for the hot tub. Beds are squeaky and uncomfortable I have spoken to the rental company twice now, they said they would call me. I cannot believe I paid almost half if fees for cleaning, I feel robbed! Still made the most of my time with my family. We won’t be using this rental company again. The owner has a humidifier with a hose running UP to drain in the sink.... gravity doesn’t allow that.

Beautiful house

Loved every minute we stayed in this house. Beautifully decorated and thoughtful design made this house cozy, while spacious for our group. Kitchen is well stocked with all a cooks needs. You can tell this house is well cared for.

Almost heaven

My first reaction was that the photos don't do this place justice; it is even better than it appears. Everything was much more spacious than I expected, and given that there are five true bedrooms, it could easily accommodate 10 people. There are some nice modern touches -- e.g., the living room TV may as well be a movie screen, and the upstairs bathroom is amazing -- but it's also quaint and secluded, providing an authentic "cabin in the woods" experience. There were a few slight negatives. First, the grill needs to be serviced and/or cleaned, because it heats very unevenly. Second, the WiFi is slow/spotty (which honestly didn't bother us, but it's worth noting). Third, the hot tub loses water quickly -- not sure if there's a leak or just evaporation because the cover is old -- but it needed to be refilled every day. (On our second day, we called to have it refilled, and someone was there in about an hour.) Still, these minor annoyances didn't overshadow the many good things about this place, and we would absolutely stay here again.

While our overall experience was good, there were a few items that need to be addressed: loft toilet is not level, toilet rocks; there was no padlock on the hot tub; comforters need to be washed; sliding glass door wasn't locked when we arrived. we managed to get it locked but it needs to be looked at.

Great vacation home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I stayed at the Solitude with 6 other family members and 2 dogs. This is a wonderful home, with a beautiful big deck, and plenty of room. If you are bringing dogs, this is the perfect place; it is not on a busy road, and just as it is described, it is a quiet wooded lot; there is plenty of room for the dogs to run and play. You could not see any homes right next door, only woods. It was a short hike to the lake (through the woods, not on the street), which was great for the dogs, and fine for kids, but not so great for elderly parents. Also the dock was kind of in a mucky part of the lake. not good to access off the edge of the lake to swim, but a dock does come with the house, so if you had a boat with a ladder, you could get away from the lakes edge where it was clearer. There is no ladder on the dock. The house was in an excellent location, on a quiet road, about 10 minutes from the Honi Honi area of 219. Also only 10 minutes to Deep Creek Lake State Park, which was nice. The hot tub and fire pit were both great to have. the house has a great layout with 5 bedrooms, and there is a bathroom on each floor. The TV on the main floor was really nice. The TV in the basement bedroom was not on a cable box so pretty much useless. Internet was slow, during high-use times. the kitchen is well stocked as far as cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc. The one thing the house could use, is a new grill. We had planned on grilling out a number of nights, but the grill is old, and had to be really cleaned before we could use it. it caught fire underneath during use. Very disappointing, bring your own grill cleaning tools, if you plan on grilling, and don't shut the top. Taylor-Made was wonderful in helping us find a wonderful vacation home for us.
