Our stay was very pleasant. The host was very attentive and checked in with us to ensure our stay met expectations. The beds were super comfortable and the homemade delicious bread made for a special breakfast treat. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Unique home with wonderful views

This was a really neat property for our group of several families. It has a commercial grade kitchen and a beautiful covered patio with views of the river. Everything was clean and well-maintained.

Kumara Junction

The absolute pick of the places we stayed in NZ, clean spacious & thanks to the owner's for the fresh bread & fruit. Highly recommend this property to all. Yes, it's out of town but wow its a great spot - will stay longer next time.

Stunning views and so much space.

What a gem of a place with a panoramic unspoilt river view and a massive covered deck to sit, dine and enjoy it. Very spacious accommodation. Slightly unusual bathroom and kitchen set up as it looked like it’s used for corporate events but plenty of showers, toilets and space to move. Very comfortable beds. A personal welcome by the owner who supplied a freshly home baked loaf, fruit and plenty of breakfast and basic food items. Highly recommended.

Girls weekend

Every year I organise a girls weekend away. The planning starts with the accommodation and this home did not disappoint. There is 11 of us and the house accommodated us easily. The surrounding grounds with the river sweeping around was picture perfect. The house was extremely comfortable and warm, a must in the west coast. Our host Rachel was friendly and accommodating to our request. We hope to return again.

Lovely few days on the West Coast

We had a very relaxing time in Kumara Junction, the bach is tidy, spacious and functional, with bedrooms away from living areas. The large deck has nice views of the river and is a great spot to eat breakfast and watch the sunset. Rachel is friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks again for these lovely few days on the West Coast!

A perfect base for activities

We loved staying at Riverstone. Everything was just as described, even better really, and the loaf of fresh bread each day from Rachel was the icing on the cake.
