It’s true:  Here, all paths do lead to the sea.  At Sea Esta, your entire group will enjoy beautiful, designer-inspired accommodations plus privacy, and a relaxing place to retreat that is just down the path from the beach.  
 The community of WaterSound West Beach is tucked between Eastern Lake and Deer Lake on the south side of Scenic Highway 30a.  With the Timpoochee Trail (better known as the 30A bike path) connecting over 17 miles of noteworthy communities, rare dune lakes, top restaurants, bars, and dozens of options for retail therapy, you’ll find yourself in the middle of tough decisions, like do I bike or walk to the beach? Should we hit the pool before lunch? Enjoy the Gulf on the YOLO board or kayak?
 
The WaterSound West Beach community pool and pavilion are just minutes from your doorstep.   Follow the path to this very large pool and pavilion, which includes fountains and a zero-entry feature, perfect for any age group.  After a swim, continue to follow the paths right to the Gulf of Mexico.  Watersound West Beach beautifully preserves the large dunes and natural landscape, letting the mixed bike and pedestrian path wind through it all.
 
Enter the home through a quaint front porch into its large, open floor plan where the coastal décor comes to life!  In the kitchen, the blue cabinetry perfectly blends with updated stainless-steel appliances.  The large island with breakfast seating will prepare a large meal or light appetizers, enjoyable for everyone.  This kitchen is made for function and is ready to serve up your favorite recipes.
 
On the first floor resides the home’s primary suite, which boasts clean, crisp décor and a beautifully finished linen bed.  The bedroom’s bath is privately accessed within the bedroom, offering the utmost in privacy for your guest. The bathroom encompasses natural tones through its granite countertops and masonry details.  This bathroom is equipped with double vanities and a standing shower.  There is a first-floor powder bath just for your extra guests.

 Moving to the home’s second floor, the younger guests in your group can enjoy the media room located at the top of the stairs.  A flat-screen TV, storage, and a sofa may offer an ideal place for a movie or family game night! Built-in bunk beds just off the media room offer two extra sleep spots and are vibrantly decorated like our Gulf Coast's sunsets.

 The home’s third bedroom offers a queen bed, flat-screen TV, and an additional en suite bathroom.  Natural tones continue in this bathroom with its granite countertops and tile detail.
 
The true primary bedroom shows the same calming coastal colors and adds an element of teal with its headboard. A Sea Esta will certainly be on your agenda while staying in this bedroom retreat.  The en suite bathroom has a very large standing shower, double vanity sinks, and a large mirror.
 
After a long day on the beach, what better way to relax than to return to this outstanding outdoor living space

The pool was a 5 minute walk and beach about 15 minutes. Neighborhood is extremely quiet and safe and love all the boardwalks! Bring your own beach towels as none are provided. Heads up, umbrella and chair service can not be set up at the beach where the boardwalk takes you. It’s an additional 10 minute walk to the public beach where they are allowed to set up. So plan for extra walking or bring your own umbrella/shade (plenty of chairs and a wagon at the house).

I loved the gated community and small crowd. Beach access a bit of a challenge, but we rent bikes from across the street, so no worries there. This was mu 5th trip to WaterSound West.

This is our 3rd year staying in this beautiful home in Watersound. My family loves it. It has everything you need for a family beach vacation. The house is beautiful and love the private access to the beach and they provide a wagon for you so you don’t have to bring yours from home. My favorite part is sipping coffee in the mornings on the back screened in porch listening to the birds. So peaceful. We will be back again next year.

Great house! Loved the screened-in porch and the boardwalk right behind it that led to the spectacular beach. Quiet setting and once we got off busy 30A, it was like being in another world. Hope to come back for another stay!

Wonderful Vacation!

Our vacation was absolutely wonderful. The house was very clean, well appointed, in a great location and extremely comfortable. The walk to the pool and beach were easy. The best part was that the beach was basically "private" - very few people and not crowded like the other areas tend to be. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home

We rented this home for fall break and it was absolutely perfect! It was very clean which is hard to find these days. It was so quiet in the neighborhood. We loved riding our bikes each day to the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

Accurate listing. Great location 10 mins from Seaside. The pool is wonderful and the beach is quiet. It IS a trek but over the boardwalk so the included beach wagon made things easier and it went nicely over the sand. The bonus bunk beds in the corridor upstairs are great for younger kids. Hosts very responsive. Would stay here again

Pre-summer vacation

This is a very nice, quiet, upscale neighborhood. This home is well built and clean. The couches and chairs were comfortable, the beds were at least pretty good. The kitchen is furnished nicely, enough to cook and serve a meal. Everything in the house worked properly as well. The walk to the beach is about 1/2 mile each way, but is worth it as the beach area is more private than most gulf beaches. This is a very nice place for a family vacation.

My family really enjoyed the house. There was plenty of space for us all to spread out and didn’t feel cramped. Only disappointment is how far it is to the beach. From the front door ato the sand, it is .60 miles. If you’re toting beach chairs etc., this gets old especially walking back in the afternoon when it’s hot and sunny. Other than that, everything was great and the neighborhood is nice and quiet.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We found the area itself to be lovely, just a short walk to the beach and pool, but unfortunately the home had several issues that affected our stay. When we arrived, the air conditioning was not working, and the temperature inside was over 80 degrees. Thankfully, the host was responsive and got it resolved later that evening.However, the rest of the home had multiple maintenance concerns. Several lightbulbs were out, including in the freezer and a bathroom vanity, and the dishwasher was not properly secured, which made it difficult to load without holding it in place to prevent tipping. The gas range knobs were difficult to use. I was familiar with how to operate a gas stove, but someone without that experience could easily run into trouble or risk a safety issue.In addition, two of the TV remotes had dead batteries, and we ended up purchasing our own just to use the TVs. While some of these things may seem minor on their own, they added up and left us feeling disappointed with the overall condition of the rental. We do not plan to return.I did notify the host about the air conditioning and laundry room lightbulb, but after that I chose not to continue reaching out. I wasn’t on vacation to act as a home inspector. These are things that should have been addressed before our arrival. It was concerning that so many basic issues were overlooked prior to our stay and potentially for guests after us.
