Located at the heart of the historical town of Jim Thorpe with its train station which offers an hour of scenic train loop ride in between the mountains. Short distance to amazing hiking and biking trails at Lehigh Gorge state park.
Jim Thorpe is also close to Mauch Chunk Lake state Park which offers boating, and fishing. Whitewater rafting at the Lehigh River is also an option.

An adorable 2nd story apartment. Plenty of space and furnished for comfort. Less than 10 minutes from all that Jim Thorpe has to offer. Would absolutely stay here again!

The house is very comfortable for 6 adults but the property states it sleeps 8. The owner stated truthfully about the number of people it sleeps but a fold up bed is comfortable for children, not adults. We stayed at the Inn while my friends stayed at the house & they loved it. There are steps to enter the house & at the top of the steps is the porch which accommodated 4 people. The yard needed cut & the drop off from side walk (adjacent to the house) to the grass was enough to twist an ankle if you didn’t watch your step. With the grass being too long that was a challenge. The inside of the house was very nice and each room was well kept with nice amenities. The outside of the property was falling into disrepair. Grass was high with weeds and we had pets. Deck was deteriorating and porch had a safety gate which was fell off several times. If you have pets or small children, it is a second story apartment with many steps to climb. Additionally, everything is steep hills. Not good for anyone older or weaker. You cannot walk to downtown Jim Thorpe (Broadway Street), unless you are an athlete. If you don't want to leave the house, it was great. If you want to adventure on foot, forget it. I wish I had known this prior to booking as the main reason I chose this was walking distance to downtown and assumed by the photos, that once accessing the second floor door to enter, there would be ground level access. Someone lives underneath the second floor apartment. We still made the best of it all and made some family memories.There were 6 of us with 2 dogs.

The property was accessible for those who are able to climb stairs. The view out of the front window exquisite. We could not find information concerning departure requirements. The kitchen would benefit from reorganization with a check of whether or not all necessary appliances/tools ware present (ie: can opener). Once in the property, the host was responsive to questions. The property was perfect for our groups needs.

We had a lovely weekend in this spacious second floor 3 bedroom apartment. The home was well stocked with kitchen supplies. We enjoyed sitting outside on the front porch in the evening with an ice cream from Annie's a couple blocks away. The place is conveniently located near downtown Jim Thorpe as well as Penns Peak. Would definitely rent again.Don't miss the wonderful meals served at Union Public House. Bob's market is a great place for breakfast and picking up a few items too. Overall, it was a great experience!

Upstairs apartment was quite spacious and had plenty of room for two couples. We stayed 3 days and two nights and had no issues. Everything was clean and in order.

We felt right at home. Dogs loved the play yard and all the snow. We only used the master bedroom so I can't vouch for the other beds but the master was great. I want the dinning table and the area rug in the living room. Shower was hot. Josephine's story made me feel more like family. Place was clean, I never lay on the floor of a rental but there had no problem getting down and snuggling with them.

the place was perfect for 4 family members and a dog! The weather was very cold so we didn't walk to Jim Thorpe; had to drive. Not really a problem as the parking was easy at the accommodation.

Easy check in and check out. Very spacious and comfortable. Only downside for me was there were not nearly enough curtains or blinds in the living room and kitchen area for privacy and some of the area needed updating (curtain rods falling out of the wall, etc). But overall it is a great place.

This is a great spot to stay - minutes away from the city center and a 5-min walk from a great restaurant/pub. Would definitely stay here again and again!

We were in town for a wedding. Great time and super convenient to town!

Very clean and had all the supplies we needed. Even has a steam iron, which came in very handy with wrinkled bridesmaid dresses!

Rail to trail in Jim Thorpe PA

My wife and i had a great stay at the property and a great time riding along the Lehigh river in the bike trail. The property was a short walk from the Union Public House and Hairy Guys brewery. We enjoyed both and want to mention the Union Public House for there menu which was ecclictic and included plenty of vegetarian fare. My wife is a vegetarian and she loved it! The staff at both places were awesome! Highly recommend!

Outdoor person happy to point you in the right direction for a fun time. I have enjoyed everything that Jim Thorpe has to offer with my family for the past 20 years. My six kids are nature lovers. I moved to Jim Thorpe in 2019 after loosing my 13 year old daughter Josephine to DIPG brain cancer. Josephine had a lust for life and loved this town. She enjoyed its numerous trails, rafting trips, and biking paths. After Josephine’s passing in June of 2019, this place has allowed me to feel connected to my Josephine thru our immense love for nature. She is everywhere. Josephine would wish everyone to enjoy these mountains, lakes and rivers as much as she did, in the company of your love ones.
Life is precious. Enjoy it.
