Our location in downtown Boyne City is another feature we’re glad you enjoyed. Being just steps away from restaurants, coffeehouses, boutique shops, and the marina makes it easy to explore everything the town has to offer. We truly regret that your recent stay at Water Street Inn did not fully meet your expectations, especially regarding the room configuration. Clear communication and delivering exactly what our guests book is very important to us, and we are sorry that this situation caused frustration during your family vacation. To clarify, all of the individually owned condos at Water Street Inn are one-bedroom, one-bathroom units. Each condo includes a private bedroom, a full kitchen, a living area, and either a pullout sofa or Murphy bed to accommodate additional guests. We understand how disappointing it must have been to arrive expecting a two-bedroom unit based on your confirmation, only to find that the property does not have this room type available. While our condos do provide extra sleeping space beyond the private bedroom, they are not traditional two-bedroom units, and we regret that this distinction was not made clear to you during booking. Your concerns about feeling charged for less than you expected are completely understandable. We will be reviewing how your reservation was handled and the information provided during the booking process to ensure this type of miscommunication does not happen in the future. Transparency is essential, and our goal is for every guest to arrive knowing exactly what to expect so that their stay begins on the right note. We are pleased, however, that you still had the opportunity to experience the many features that make Water Street Inn unique—our private beach on Lake Charlevoix, clean and comfortable accommodations, and unbeatable location within walking distance of downtown Boyne City’s restaurants, boutique shops, and marina. Still, we recognize that the issue with your unit type overshadowed the positives of your stay, and for that we sincerely apologize. We appreciate your feedback and recommendation for improvement. Your comments will be shared with our management team so we can address the booking process and avoid similar misunderstandings for future guests. We truly hope you will consider giving us another chance so we can provide you with the seamless, relaxing Northern Michigan experience that so many of our guests enjoy here at Water Street Inn.
