We stayed here for a night on tha A2O ride. It was an excellent place to stay and John and Trish were so welcoming - really appreciated the beer as well after a long day on the bike. The place was very comfortable and had everything we needed.

We were impressed with the low carbon footprint of Paul.
A cyclist with his family on A2O trail.Arrived with no vehicle, left our cottage immaculate.
The front of the house offers one of the most beautiful views I’ve experienced. Looking across the open landscape to the lake and surrounding mountains, instantly invites calm and stillness. The changing light throughout the day makes the view feel alive and deeply restorative. The home itself is well positioned, quiet, and perfectly suited for rest and reflection. Waking up to the scenery and enjoying it again in the evening was highlight of our stay. Omarama is a beautiful place in its own right, and this property truly allows you to appreciate its natural beauty. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone seeking comfort, tranquility, and a genuine to the landscape. A special place that I would happily return to.

Thank you, the cottage was left clean and tidy. Glad you enjoyed staying , safe travels.
The autumn, lake, and Waitaki views from the living room are fantastic. The house is over 30 years old, single glazed etc, but it was warm enough and very homely.Great access to bike track, and close to Omarama and Otemata, and all that this area has to offer.
Wonderful place. Great location. Perfect if you don’t need WIFI

Glad you enjoyed your stay at our holiday cottage , hope the fishing was good.
We love the rural location and boating on the lake.
Wifi is only with individual's cellphone ,we find Vodafone and 2 degrees have best reception.
Our family absolutely loved our stay at this classic old-style kiwi bach. Wonderful views to Lake and mountains . Very peaceful and private . A good kitchen set-up . Perfect location to explore the area . Hosts very responsive to emails .
The view of the lake and mountains, the bees in the Lavender bushes out front, the visiting rabbits were all fantastic. The small residence is old; during the night the foundation shifted and our bedroom door wedged tight. When I tried to open the door the doorknob came off in my hand. Thankfully, I had the key and we were staying in the room with a sliding door, so I walked outside the house to let myself back in through the locked front door.

The building was built 30 years ago and shifted there onto piles.
Has been a treasured family batch situated on a quiet hillside.
Unfortunate about door handle this will be fixed ,front bedroom has does have access outside through sliding doors.
Not sure about an earthquake happening, maybe that explains the recent brown stain on carpet at front door.
We had a lovely time. The cottage has a wonderful view of lake Benmore. It was just a short walk down the drive, across the highway and onto the cycle track. We walked along the track for about a kilometre, where it turns away from running alongside the highway and takes you out to a headland that juts right into Lake Benmore so you have this beauutiful all round view of the lake and you can hardly hear the traffic on the road. The cottage feels friendly and lived in. It's warm and the kitchen is big enough for two people to be cooking at the same time. There are big, 30 year old lavender bushes along the front of the cottage. It's a short drive to Omarama and a bit further along is Lake Ohau. We drove up the side of the lake to the Temple valley car park and had a rugged walk up the North Temple valley and then back to Ohau Lodge for a very welcome afternoon tea in the warm(it was a rather cool drizzly day). The only little quibble we have is that the cottage could have done with a few more stainless steel saucepans. Altogether it was a great holiday in a great cottage - highly recommended.
This was definitely my favorite place I’ve stayed in a while. It was beautiful and homey and the hosts were amazing. Perfect for a single person getaway
Emplacement et maison très agréables. Les prestations sont de très bonne qualité. Le paysage et les possibilités de rando à pieds ou en vélos sont au pied de l’habitation.
