I came in for my 40th high school reunion with my husband. We found this little gem & it looked perfect for the two of us. It is just like described on line. It had everything we needed & more. The host even had a welcome basket full of local merchants goods such as sweets, bread, jam etc. That was a nice surprise. The kitchen reminds me of a european style kitchen,small but has everything you need. Has 2 coffee makers, coffee, cream, sugars etc. My coffee is a must in the morning. The place could probably use a couple of floor lamps to help light up the room a little better than just the 2 over head ceiling fans. Probably the one thing you need to know about staying here is the train hence Crosstrax as the place is exactly across the train tracks..The only issue we ran into more than once was the train comes through & blocks the tracks for over an hour or more. We arrived here around 5:45 & we got stopped by the train. The train sat there and didnt move until 7:20. My event started at 6. So you need to know the back roads to be able and go around to get to the OTHER side of those tracks & to the house.Go up to Colbert & around or back way from the Casino via Achille. I wander if the train has a set schedule that travelers could know when to leave to get across the tracks & on to the highway. Anyway, that is just something to know so you have time to make it to wherever you are going. We would stay here again !

Great Place!

Very enjoyable

Despite the relentless rain, we had a great stay. We tucked ourselves in and slept, read books, and nibbled on goodies all day. Then at night, we took a nice easy trip to the casino for concerts three nights in a row.

Clean, quiet, bed very comfy. Wi-Fi wasn’t t the best. Ponds and beautiful homes nearby, but kitchen and bath needs a little updating. Would stay there again.

Enjoyed our stay

Nice rural setting and pleasant accommodation. It is a working ranch but does not interfere with your stay. Be aware that the speed limit of the country road is 40 MPH. I was stopped by the sheriff but fortunately received only a warning.
