Very clean
Very clean and they even had extra touches for my Autistic Child which was above and beyond . Will stay here again what ever we are in the area.
What a beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting in a beautiful part of West Virginia! Everything a person needs to getaway for a short stay is within the 4 walls of the HOOAH Cabin. There's plenty of places in nearby Parsons to eat, I recommend Piccolo Paula's or MR Pizza, and many things to see or places to hike close by. The firepit in the evening with the sounds of the stream behind the cabin are perfect!
This area may be remote or have not much cell service, however that made it more capable to relax, unwind, and unplug. I was sad to leave due to that fact. Definitely a must stay if you are wanting all of those things. 😍🥰😁

Poor
The cabin wasn't very clean 😕 in the restroom there where old dirty used Qtips in the trash , a peice of molding was missing looks as if there is mold on it. The kitchen area stove front right burner was so dirty it smoked when you used it . The microwave and refrigerator where both dirty. Was not satisfied with our stay considering you pay a cleaning fee.
Please rent with confidence. This place is beautiful…so much so I’m being pressured into having one like it built on our property for family to stay in. Extremely warm and inviting with the sounds of running water just outside. The road by the cabin isn’t heavily traveled and space between the cabins is more than ample to give you the sense of privacy. Although I didn’t get the pleasure of meeting Kay, her correspondence was very pleasant and informative. We grabbed some pizza on the way through town at Mr. Pizza per her recommendation and it was definitely worth the stop. Internet was reliable during our stay and the Netflix gave the kids something to wind down to before bed.
In short we agree with our 6yr old…we need to return to the “stick house”…”it’s just so cute!”.
This was my second year staying in the cabins. Unfortunately, the hot water heater broke so there was no way to shower. The water almost scalded me and then went ice cold. I do understand that mishaps happen, but there was no backup plan. We were given the option to shower in another cabin on a single day before 11am (check out time) as other guests were checking in that afternoon. Our stay was for 6 nights/7 days! Having no way to shower for that length of time is unacceptable as I want what was promised when I reserved the cabin. I paid (which is overpriced) because I thought it was going to a good cause - for veterans with disabilities. I wouldn't want any veteran staying there as the cabins are starting to be a bit outdated and run down.
The furniture is starting to look tattered and some of the amenities need to be upgraded: refrigerators with ice maker (or at least ice trays), smart TVs larger than 32", and proper ADA showers with drains in the floor so water doesn't go everywhere.
I won't be staying again which is unfortunate because the location is beautiful next to a fishing stream. Why would anyone want to stay at a place that doesn't make good on what was advertised?

Hi Patricia, we sincerely regret that your recent stay didn't meet your expectations, especially considering your positive experience the previous year. After discussing your feedback with the homeowner, they’d like to address the following:- Unfortunately, the hot water heater malfunctioned during your stay, and while we immediately ordered a replacement, it was beyond our control to repair it sooner. We offered access to another cabin for showers and provided a 30% discount as a gesture of goodwill, though we understand this didn’t fully resolve the inconvenience.- The property’s rates were higher during your stay due to a significant local event, which might explain the pricing. We also recognize your concerns about the furniture and amenities and will further investigate your concerns.- The beauty of the location by the fishing stream is something we take pride in, and we hope that any future updates will better meet the needs and expectations of all our guests, including veterans who continue to enjoy their stays.Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us to improve, and we truly hope you’ll reconsider staying with us in the future.
This cabin is the perfect escape that we were looking for! Right next to a river, you really feel like you're out in nature. The host was responsive and respectful! We were actually surprised to find that the cabin had internet! No blazing speeds, but enough so that we could send messages, which was perfect because none of us had signal otherwise. Definitely will be coming back!
The check in process went extremely well. Kay, the lady we worked with was very helpful. She shared information timely and was a key in us enjoying our vacation.

Relaxing Get-Away
The perfect winter weekend get-away. This cabin has everything you need for a relaxing stay. We went snowshoeing by day, and enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. Full kitchen, dining and living room. Gorgeous views of the hills and you can hear the stream from your bedroom. Well priced and very responsive hosts. We'll see you again next year!
This was a last minute booking hoping the photos did justice for how it would appear in person, it surely did. So quiet and relaxing with the river behind the cabins.
Cabin was gorgeous inside and out. Beautiful little spot on the river, cabin was clean and spotless too! Access to hiking all around! My wife and I had a great time!
The cabin was very clean. Not the fall colors we were looking for and that of course has nothing to do with the VRBO process. Had a nice evening at the fire pit although wood was hard to come by - recommend bringing your own.
