Beautiful house for a large group or family getaway! We enjoyed every moment. Even though it is not right on the ocean you can see it from the top deck while drinking your morning coffee along with wild horses daily. Highly recommend for a family adventure.
Pros: Happy Hours was a wonderful choice for our multiple families vacation... 2 coffee pots, 2 dishwashers, 6 King bedrooms with private bathes, fabulous game area for the young adults, pool, hot tub, propane grill, large dining table which sat all 15 of us!! Cons: No ball for the fossball table and the shuffleboard table was full of sand which made both unuseable.
Well appointed if well-used house. Lots of room to spread out, and the elevator was a plus to accommodate an elderly family member. Fairly well-appointed kitchen with a very fast ice-maker comfortable beds, and multiple spaces for dining and games. We loved that a big table sat 12 of us for meals. Definitely requires 4-wheel drive, but the location is superb with beautiful views of the ocean and dunes.
Perfect property for our needs. Although larher than we needed for our family, it accommodated all of our dogs. This place has plenty of room for larger bookings, but still felt comfortable for a smaller group. Enjoying
The location of the house is great. We love the 4x4 beach so this was perfect. We had a bit of an issue with the cleaning when we first arrived but the cleaning team took care of everything the next day. The house is an older beach house but was overall a great place for our family get together. Looking to re-book for next year!
Great place to stay. Plenty of room for our group. Horses came by everyday. Pool and hot tub were nice. We had the wifi go down during our stay but the team was great and had us back up and running not long after we called. The closest store is pretty far away so I suggest stopping at the store before you leave the pavement. We had one vehicle break down. $500.00 tow service so be sure your vehicle is working well. Great place to stay!
The house was wonderful and we all had a very good time. The only problem I had was the master bedroom was very cold.....much colder than the rest of the house. It would have helped if the small fire place between the BR and bathroom worked. There were no directions as to how to start the fireplace and it was very, very, very cold in my bedroom all the time.

Stayed at this property May 2026. Location was one row back from 4x4 beach. Make sure you follow the high/low tide. Traveling around can be difficult if tide is high. Saw many wild horses and came right up to the house which was amazing. Make sure to get your beach parking pass, so worth it!! Pool wasn't used because the weather was in low 70. Hot tub was nice but not all jets worked. This house has several decks which were very nice. The chairs are extremely comfortable and you can see the ocean. This property needs an extreme deep clean. Never went barefoot in the home because all area rugs are disgusting. The bedding was dirty. The kitchen had small ants everywhere and dead bugs through out the house. Dog feces was in one of the bedrooms. There is no extra cleaning supplies such as dish soap, sponge etc. We went to use the gas grill and it was empty. I usually don't complain but if I was the homeowner the cleaning/property maintenance company should be terminated. I did reach out and express my disappointment and they said they will pass on my complaints. OBX is a beautiful vacation spot just do your research before picking this property.
The house was not clean and refrigerator needs repair.
This property was a magnificent property when it was built approximately twenty years ago. It has a great number of bedrooms all with their own bathrooms. It is spacious and it has many built-in features (fireplace, in-room audio with older apple ipod connections, working elevator). We found its location in Corolla to be convenient, and although it is set back one street from the dunes, we found a passageway over the dune that was very close. Unfortunately, despite the grandiosity of the building, corporate neglect manifests throughout the house. Many of the appliances are sorely in need of updating as they are constantly leaking condensation in the kitchen on to the floor. In contrast, the washer/dryer are brand new and in excellent condition, but many of the kitchen appliances need to be replaced. Floor rugs need to be thoroughly cleaned and/or removed. This majestic house needs attention to bring it back to its regal stature.

Although our experience was a disappointing one which included a power failure that caused an early departure due to no refrigeration or running water, not everyone will share these experiences. We are also hosts on VRBO, so our expectations upon arrival at house that we rent, are the same that we want our renters to expect of our Condo. Upon our arrival to the house, we were not impressed with the cleanliness. Our dog immediately found and eat food scraps off the floor. We were informed three days prior to our stay that the air-conditioning unit for the second and third floor was not working and that they were having a contractor look at it. The air-conditioning unit was not repaired for the duration of our stay. Additionally, the management company neglected to tell us that the septic system was also inoperative. The septic system backed up and was not repaired for three days. That basically rendered the pool unusable as the odor from the septic tank was overwhelming for those few days. Two of the three icemakers were not working upon our arrival and one of them was repaired timely after reporting it.The house is in a good location with a beautiful view to the ocean. The top balcony was enjoyable along with the gas grill. The interior of the house, and some appliances are in need of maintenance/replacement. Once these are completed this house has the potential to be a 5 Star House.Loved the sun, the beach, and the seclusion.
