This quaint cottage is situated on a beautiful seaside road near lovely beaches and beautiful scenery. Easy access to the gems of the south shore and Halifax. A great all around getaway!
A lovely little cottage on the water! It served as our home base while we explored and was a great location. Coffee and wine on the deck while watching the water was perfect!Thank you, Suzanne, for the bakery recommendation for our birthday celebrations! It was amazing!Would highly recommend this home!

I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay! Please come back again! ❤️
We were 3 couples spending a few days together after a family wedding - the house was perfect for us, with everything we needed, and several sitting areas inside and out - we loved the deck looking out at the wharf and lobster boats - had lobster dinner at the Shore Club one night & picked up pizza at Alexandra’s another - will definitely be back
We had a wonderful stay. Suzanne checked in with us to make sure everything was fine. The house is exceptionally well equipped and we were left with a few treats. The view from the house and porch was magical. Lots to do in the area. We will be back.
The ‘cottage’ was very spacious for our group of five. We ate all meals on the large deck that overlooked St Margret’s Bay. Day tripping to Halifax, Mahone Bay, Peggy’s Cove, and Lunenburg was a snap. If we have another Nova Scotia trip, we’ll be back here!
My family of four enjoyed our stay in this quiet, pretty house, with its view onto the cove and its cormorants. Everything was clean and comfortable. It's a great location for visiting Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, or Halifax, or for just relaxing and taking walks along the sandy road. Suzanne was an informative and responsive host.
We wanted to smell the ocean and we did. We watched cormorants and seals from the deck! Met some neighbours, relaxed and rejuvenated! What a great location! Suzanne (the owner) was a pleasure to deal with.
We absolutely loved our accomodations! Every room was clean and beautifully decorated! And best of all, the deck with the view of the water was amazing! We were also close to many great restaurants and adorable towns! Suzanne was a wonderful host...very responsive and accomodating! Thank you!
Our first time to NS and we will be back. Beautiful place, lovely people. House was most well equipped of my experiences from Bahamas to NS. Even the trash sorting becomes second nature. 😊 We could spend a whole summer. Thank you.
The cottage is charming with lots of character. A comfortable place with all the amenities one would need to recover from Hurricane Fiona. Not too far from small and charming Hubbards. Halifax, Peggys Cove, Chester and Mahone Bay are close by. Great view of the harbor. Hosts are quick to respond, personable and very helpful. All in all a great time was had during our 4 nights stay.
This property totally filled our needs as a home base for our multi-generational family vacation from British Columbia for the month of August.
The location was perfect for us to make day trips to any where in the southern part of the province. And, when we were not exploring we had so many wonderful beaches to play at. One, just a very short walk down the road which the children enioyed regularly, or for a quick dip just across the street from the cottage when the moment would strike.
The cottage had all the amenities we could possibly want. All the appliances worked great. It was wonderful to have a dishwasher as we often ate in. Good wi-fi and TV reception, and as told to me from the kids, all the channels and youtube access to keep them happy. However, in all honesty, TV watching was kept to a minimum as we were spending way more time out on the spacious deck in the mornings and evenings soaking in the beautiful views of the bay.
Our hosts, Susanne and Tim, were always and immediately accessible. Our requests and questions were happily and promptly attended to.
It is hard to find fault with this property. I would suggest that because of the very roomy and lovely sun deck just off the kitchen it would have been nice to have a big umbrella or two to provide shade in the late mornings and early afternoons.
I think that guests should be aware that the staircase to the 3 upstairs bedrooms is very steep, and could be difficult for individuals who experience mobility issues.
Lastly, I was aware that there is a smaller vacation unit on the property, but I was a bit surprised at how close in proximity it is to the main cottage. This did not become a concern for us, however, it is something to be noted for those who could be looking for more privacy.
All in all, we had a wonderful stay at Seanery Cottage. We miss it already from a happy bunch in BC.
A wonderful cottage to sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful Nova Scotia scenery. The cottage's central location makes it easy to visit neighboring communities. The host's have thought of everything to make this cottage your home away from home.
