Quiet and Relaxing

Tucked away on the edge of the Painted Forest Recreational Area. Convenient to all area parks. Very quiet along a mountain creek.

Great Visit!

Rented this property to take my husband out of town for his birthday and do some hiking near by. The cabin was excellent! Clean and inviting. Lots of games and amenities for my 6 year old son to enjoy. Property owners were friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience!

Everhart, Hite, Fox Family weekend getaway.

We all had a great weekend. It was super relaxing and we can’t wait to come back. The house was fully stocked and we had everything we needed and more. Tons of games and activities for kids of all ages. The owners were super awesome and it was cool to hear their story about the property.

The property did not disclaim that the cabin is in the backyard of the owner. There are farm animals

Overall good but i would not have rented it if i had known it was in someone's back yard. We were looking for privacy. Everyday at 7 am a roosters are cackling at the windows so no sleeping in.

Hi Stacey, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: We truly uphold high standards of hospitality for our property. We aim for transparency and guests can rest assured that our listing and photos are accurately advertised. This information has been reviewed to ensure that guests can fully understand the property. The listing and pre-stay email do state that the owner lives next door. As the home is on its 1.5-acre lot, there is a road between the guesthouse and the owner's home to provide ample space and privacy for all guests. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Super cute cottage, but not private

This cottage is super cute, well maintained and very clean. The only thing that should be disclosed to potential guest is that the owners house is only a few yards up and that they utilize the end of the cottage for their own use while you stay there. So knowing you cam hear them on the other side of the wall means that they can hear you just as well, and it is a bit disconcerning. Especially if you want a private retreat. Also, there are roosters that will wake you by 6:30am every day, so dont plan to sleep in. With that being said, the owners are super friendly, very nice people that will make you feel at ease staying there. The place is super quaint, and overall we enjoyed our stay. They have several games for the family to enjoy, internet access and streaming services via firestick available when you want some down time. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

The perfect hideaway

Truly enjoyed our stay at this adorable mountain house. Very clean, comfortable, and homey. Cute things they provided like stuff to make s’mores, popcorn, a guest book to sign added to the charm. The guest book is a must read, I laughed so hard. The hosts were lovely people, greeted us on arrival, let us know they were available if we needed anything, and they gave us duck eggs too which made our cake extra delicious. We will definitely return the next time the mountains call to us.
