Katura Cottage - On the border of Katoomba & Leura, Blue Mountains

Katura is a much loved c1908 Blue Mountains cottage, on the border of (& walking distance to the towns & train stations of) Katoomba & Leura. She has all the charm of a period home, (including original leadlight windows, high ceilings, a claw foot bath, wood floors & fire places) with the bonus of modern additions like a 6 person outdoor spa & pool table. There is also off street parking for 4 cars, a great local taxi service, and Uber. SO MUCH to do, see & enjoy in Katoomba, Leura & surrounds!!

Please ensure all guests have read & agreed to the rules prior to booking.
The guest limit and price is not negotiable.

Please note the walk to either town is an uphill one. There is also free parking available at both Leura & Katoomba. We provide details of the local taxi & maxi-taxi service in the onsite guest book. Hertz car hire Katoomba is also a 1 minute flat walk from the home if you don't have a car & wish to travel further afield. There is also a public bus stop a few houses up, and Uber services the area.

We provide the essentials like: linen, towels (for bathroom & spa), shampoo / conditioner / body wash / soap / moisturiser, hair dryers, hangers, iron, laundry detergent (if you want to make use of the washing machine), tea / coffee / sugar / milk, cling wrap / foil / cooking oil / olive oil / balsamic vinegar / spices / salt & pepper, firewood, toilet paper, and a smart TV with complimentary Netflix. Linens / towels are professionally laundered.

The minimum night stay for this home is 2 nights, (3 nights during long weekends / school holidays, 4 over Easter and Christmas / New Year period).

Your host is more than happy at any time before & during your stay to provide you with recommendations for any interests, eateries, activities or experiences. :)

Excellent!

Katura Cottage was the perfect place to stay while visiting the Blue Mountains. It is very well located only minutes to Katoomba and Leura. Fiona, the host, has thought of everything - the house is very accommodating, warm, comfortable and well appointed. It was the perfect place to enjoy the blue mountains and relax.

Great place for weekend with family

We loved staying at Katura Cottage - a traditional rustic home. Ideal for our family with teenagers. Hot spa was a great way to relax after long hikes in the mountains followed by log fire and a bit of pool. Beds were very comfortable and had a well-equipped kitchen. Would definitely return and recommend to others. Thank-you Fiona.

Lovely old house

This is our second visit to this gorgeous house and we will definitely return. It was ideal for my husband and I with 4 older teenagers. Beds very comfortable and warm, kitchen very well stocked (including a delicious welcome wine and chocolates). Heating was very efficient throughout the house so it was always cosy. We hiked in the mountains during the day followed by relaxing in the spa, a game or two of pool, and a film on Tv to finish off a perfect day. The owner Fiona is great and always responds quickly to any questions! Can’t wait to return.

Dream Mountain Getaway!

Katura is a lovely house in Katoomba. It has great amenities, is kept very clean and tidy, and is ideal in its proximity to both Katoomba town centre and Leura. Fi is a great host. She’s attentive, communicates well and did all she could to ensure we had a great holiday. And we absolutely did. I cannot recommend enough Katura and Fi as a host!

Amazing!

This property was perfect for our family. The location was in the middle between Leura and Katoomba was perfect. Our host was amazing! We are definitely coming back when a bit warmer to be able to enjoy the spa! Thank you for opening your beautiful home to people.

Wonderful & Relaxing stay

What a beautiful home, with lots of character. It was the perfect getaway for 3 ladies to enjoy a weekend of relaxing & catching up. It had everything you could ask for to make our stay enjoyable. The host is lovely and very communicative, and thought of absolutely everything to ensure we had an amazing time. Very comfortable beds for a great night's sleep & thank-you very much for the complimentary scarves, wine & nibbles. We would highly recommend a stay at Katura and would love to return.

Great home away from home

What a gem! Well appointed house with all you need in the Kitchen, nice bedrooms and great entertainment. The house got character and well maintained. Communication with owner was easy.

Perfect getaway for all ages.

We love visiting the Blue Mountains and always stay at Katura. The house is perfect, its spacious and comfortable and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Its a real home away from home. The area is great for sightseeing and there are plenty of local walks for all abilities. We also enjoy visiting the local shops and restaurants and take in some beauty treatments and the local spa.

Heritage Katura getaway

Katura is a great place to stay, the whole family commented how they felt at home there and how comfortable the beds were. The kids loved the loft with toys and games, the adults loved the woodfire and the little extras the host provided. Hot tub was fantastic too. The host was lovely and her communication excellent.

Loved it all sooo nice even the towels were perfect . A gift of wine , chocolates and chips on arrival was lovely. Will definitely return.
