Eco Passive chalet for rent / 6 Bedrooms (14 people) / Located in Eastman at 420 meters above sea level on the west side of Mont Orford, very large modern chalet built in 2020 according to German eco standards PassivHaus (passive house) offering incredible view, comfort and privacy in nature, located in wooded mountainous terrain with no immediate neighbor. Conveniently located near Mont-Orford National Park for winter sports, hiking, etc. WiFi, TV 4K 75 ", double appliances, king beds and more.

The cottage has an outdoor 7-person hot tub, open all year and protected from rain/snow.

The chalet is designed for large groups. The appliances are double (2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, 2 washers, 2 dryers, 1 drink / wine cooler, 1 gas hob, 1 oven, 1 double BBQ). Nespresso, Nespresso Vertuo Line, Keurig 2.0 and traditional paper filter coffee machines.

Technology: Samsung 75 "TV with HD sets, Netflix, Spotify, YouTube, Apple TV, High Speed WiFi Internet., Dimmer / Dimmer for mood lighting.

The occupants will enjoy great comfort thanks to the heated / radiant concrete floors in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Large patio on the 2nd + large covered patio (summer kitchen / BBQ) on the ground floor + small private outdoor terrace on the 2nd.

The chalet offers you a "passive" type accommodation according to German "PassivHaus" standards (22 "thick exterior walls, triple windows, floating slab.). There is an air conditioning / heat pump to add extra comfort.

Huge 200 sq. Ft. Vestibule to accommodate athletes and pairs of skis. snowshoes, etc.

Very enjoyable stay

Well situated cottage with good privacy. We especially liked the upper deck that gave a good view of the forest. The fact that a town was nearby with a grocery store and other services was an unexpected bonus. The only reason i didn't rate it 5 stars was because of lack of AC but otherwise this place is perfect for non-summer stays

Fantastic Family Holiday

Wonderful retreat

This is the second time renting this lovely property for a family gathering. Spacious, comfortable and well-equipped, it has everything you need and more. Charles, the host, is very helpful and accommodating. Close to town, hiking trails and golf. It is a wonderful chalet!

Large beautiful vacation home

The home is beautiful and spacious. It worked very well for our extended family group of 14. Thé double appliances and spacious kitchen made housekeeping, food storage and prep very easy for a large group and it has enough space and different areas to allow for both group and individual activity. Overall a lovely vacation home and we had a lovely time.

Family outing in the woods!

What an awesome place! A couple of things to note that I did not notice until I got there: 1. Most of the bedrooms are downstairs, except one master bed/bath 2. Walking trails are not close, there are two VERY close but they are private. 3. National park will be 25min or so drive depending on where you go. 4. No AC, this is a passive house…. While awesome… it was very hot during some nights. Bedroom doors don’t have screens so can’t be open. Fans are in every room. None of these were deal breakers for us, but it might be for someone!

Le chalet est sur un site enchanteur, parfait pour une famille comme la nôtre avec des petits. Les photos sont fidèles à la réalité. Le propriétaire était vraiment efficace pour répondre rapidement à toutes nos questions. La propreté de la salle commune laissait un peu à désirer. Il était difficile de contrôler la température ambiante. C’était vraiment chaud!

L'emplacement du chalet et le chalet en soi est parfait pour un grand groupe. Toutefois le bluetooth du Sonos ne fonctionnait pas. Des mousticaires pour les chambres auraient été appréciés afin d'avoir un peu d'air. Il faisait chaud un brin. Le responsable du chalet a répondu rapidement à nos questions et besoins. Belle fin de semaine entre amies.

Excellent Big Group House

We gathered for Christmas as a family (we were 12 plus two dogs) and it was a great house for us. The kitchen/dining set up was ideal and easily able to accommodate us all. The views are spectacular and the location is ideal for quiet winter walks or a short drive to skiing or groceries. Definitely have good snow tires on your car as the road up to the house is very steep!
