Adam, that quiet half-mile buffer around the house is one of our favorite things about it too, and you described it perfectly. The Hill Country wildlife has a way of making you feel like you stumbled onto something untouched, even with Fredericksburg just down the road. The firepit and hot tub setup really does come into its own at night out there, with nothing but stars and the occasional deer passing through. Come back in wildflower season and that landscape shifts into something else entirely!
