We highly recommended this lake house. The back porch is divine. Comfortable beds, plush linens and towels. Quiet neighborhood. A little disappointing - no chairs by dock and no water at dock- to set up a mister or wash your fish/boat. No chairs by fire pit, no water below dock so we couldn’t fish at all as we went there to fish directly from our own dock for our rental property- and the locals will advise you not to get into the water due to alligators. That was a huge surprise- I put the rafts away since nobody would get into the water. Said the other nearby lake is for swimming . You’ll need to bring any and everything - house has towels and basic kitchen - no Tupperware at all and no baggies for leftovers and very few paper towels - but if you’re going for peaceful rest area by water just outside of DFW this is it. Sunsets were lovely

Thank you for the kind words about the sunsets and the peaceful setting near DFW. We're sorry the water access didn't meet expectations - the historically low lake level, part of the widespread Texas drought, is beyond our control and has affected the shoreline experience. We also don't leave chairs down by the water due to wind and weather. I apologize for the missing kitchen supplies like Tupperware, baggies, and paper towels - those items have since been restocked.

Great Retreat

Had a fabulous time at this home. It was very clean, comfortable beds, luxurious towels, and the sunrise/sunset on the back screened-in porch keeps us coming back. A real retreat. This is our second time renting this home and we’ve already made reservations for a third visit this summer. Very quiet neighborhood. Close to Sulphur Springs for shopping and eating. Highly recommend.

An Oasis

Clean and Cozy. Lovely home with a fantastic screened-in back porch that puts you in nature without the bugs. :) Sulphur Springs is only a short drive away and has a wonderful square and great shops/restaurants.We highly recommend this home.

Nice Place!

My son and I stayed here for a fishing trip. Driveway requires you to be good at backing a trailer as it's a straight shot. The house was very clean and perfect for what we needed. Nice neighborhood too.
