The private pool was perfect this week of summer. The weather was consistently over 100 degrees. We boated in the mornings and swam every afternoon.

We're so glad the private pool hit the spot during such a hot summer week — sounds like the perfect balance of boating in the mornings and cooling off in the afternoons. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Clean and minimalistic. Good location and nice amenities. My only negative is the initial wet, musty smell when I first walked in. It got me every time! I enjoyed the outdoor space provided.

We're so glad you enjoyed the clean, minimalistic style, the location, and the outdoor space. We're sorry for any inconvenience with the smell you noticed when you first walked in. We have HEPA filters in place along with clean A/C filters to keep the air fresh, and we haven't encountered that issue during our own stays or with other guests since. It's possible it was coming from a nearby unit. We appreciate the feedback and want every guest to feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.

Monkey Island Stay

The property was exactly as described and was a great place to stay. The location is unbeatable and for the price you get a lot of amenities and a nice, clean place to lay your head. Highly recommend to all!

The place was nice and convenient to where we put our boat in at Shangri-la. The house had an odor and no overhead lights/fans in living or bedroom which gave minimal lighting and air flow. I had reached out to the host with a question a few days before arrival and never got a response from him. Other than those few things it was nice and allowed us to have a Grand weekend on the lake!
