The property had some quirks. When we used the dishwasher most lights flickered. At one time, all lights went out but the dishwasher continued to run. We heard noises from the crawl space. Whatever it was, we heard running of pitter patter. Yet, we didn’t see anything inside the house.The yard was great for the kids to run freely and play. Most of our stay was great but the electricity and critters.

The stay at the house was wonderful. Excellent location very close to all the attractions. The kitchen is well equipped, the balcony is nice and it was fun to drink coffee there in the morning. Great showers, there was hot water all the time and the beds were comfortable. Thank you.

No key in the lock box. The owner was so rude. Told him that there were ants and I went and got ant traps. He told me that wasn’t necessary?! Absolutely no appreciation what so ever. Owner does not communicate well if you have a question he ignores your texts and never answers his phone. The rental was clean and it was in a good location- close to everything!

Upon arriving at at the house, we couldn’t see to get to the front door. There was no lighting up the sidewalk and it was pitch dark. Then we thought we were at the wrong house because it said there would be a lockbox with the key. There was no lockbox so we weren’t sure if we should try to use the keyless entry on the door. We decided to try the keyless entry and we did get in. Place was very clean. Very neat and roomy. The first night there the living room was cold, but the bedrooms were warm. We turned the heat up and the bedrooms got hot. The one bedroom had no air coming out of the register and so the person in that room was freezing all night. There is a heater in the living room and in that bedroom. So our friend tried to light the heater in the bedroom. I could not get it too late. We were going to put the heater on in the living room, but it seem to be screwed down to the floor, and the cord would not reach all the way to the receptacle, which was about another 6 inches. The shower in the bedroom on the other end of the house was very small, and if a man was staying that room who had any height to him, he could’ve never showered in there as the showerhead was very low and not removable. it was a nice place, but we would not stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Burdett! The house was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of spices, pots & pans in the kitchen, and even shampoo & body wash in the bathrooms. We enjoyed lounging on the couches, cooking family dinner, and relaxing on the back deck. House was very clean. We come up every year and will be looking at booking this again next fall.

Great vacation

We had a great vacation at the charming Burdett house. There was plenty of room and the four of us each had their own bedroom. The house was neat and clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was very close to Watkins Glen State park for hiking, plenty of places to eat nearby and easily accessible to the wineries in the area, Looking forward to next year!

Great place, very quiet. Double wide 1980’s mobile home, bring your hair band 80’s cassette tapes for the sound system! Garage was available for use and clean. Some doors don’t stay closed but with a little lift on the knobs they do. Beautiful back porch for unwinding, fire-pit with firewood on site. Will definitely stay again!

Burdette House Watkins Glen NY

Clean home, fully stocked, beautiful property and close to Watkins Glen attractions. I never used VRBO before so I was a little leery but the communication with the host and Evolve was excellent! We are looking forward to returning next year with our family.

The kitchen was adequate, but the toaster should be replaced. I believe it is a fire hazard The bathrooms were nice. The touch pad in the main bathroom did not work so no fan during showers. We had a great time with Uno and Jenga. Very comfortable rooms, beds etc. plenty of space. Love the central location to all the things.
