About this property

Caroline Cottage Historic Moonta Township

Caroline Cottage is situated in the Heart of historic Moonta and was built in 1920. The cottage has been lovingly restored, is now bright and airy and ready for your relaxing stay. Surprisingly spacious, Caroline Cottage has a rich history and comprises 2 large queen size bedrooms and a single bedroom, front lounge and central dining area. The kitchen is well appointed and the high ceilings throughout feature ceiling fans in every room. Outside you will find a beautifully appointed Aussie backyard with plenty of room to move, relax and entertain. A pleasant 4 min stroll is all it takes to access the main township which boasts many great shops, cafes, restaurants and of course historic hotels. Other features close by include a beautiful bush-land walk and a children's playground complete with kids bike trail. A short drive takes you to the local jetty and beach as well as to the water fun park. At the other end of town explore the copper mining area on the local rail train. There is so much to do and learn about in Moonta, with it's rich history and also many great locations in the surrounding Copper Triangle. The town was and still is a friendly and thriving community, a well kept secret waiting to explore.

Amazing holiday cottage @Moonta
It is a lovely cottage which let us enjoy our SA holiday a lot. Close to everything. The host is very kind and very nice , she put everything in details. If we will visit Yorke Peninsula again, will definitely choose here to stay one more time.

Moonta Cottage
The property was so lovely. Inside was clean and everything you needed was there. We especially loved the backyard with all its sections where you could sit and relax. The kitchen was well equipped and the teenagers had a great time. They walked back from Moonta Bay, it didn’t take them long, and into the Main Street for a wander. It is a short drive to Port Hughes which was also beautiful. Thank you for a great stay.

Lovely stay.
We enjoyed our stay in the cottage and Tracy was particularly accommodating regarding late check out as we were travelling with my elderly mother. This was much appreciated. The garden is delightful. Cottage is tastefully decorated and kitchen very well equipped. Would recommend highly especially for couples.

About the host

Host profile image
My name is Tracy and am the proud owner of Caroline Cottage. Having only recently discovered Moonta I immediately fell in love with the historic town with its stone buildings and friendly atmosphere and was entranced by the history. The little cottage on Caroline Street was up for sale at the time and I knew I had to have a look and decided on the spot this was the place for me. Initially I intended to rent it out but after my first stay I knew it was too good not to share. Thus came the next adventure of getting ready for others to enjoy and the name Caroline Cottage was born.
