This cute, waterfront cottage can comfortably sleep 6 guests. Our executive kitchen with a double oven and sleek induction cooktop also has plenty of counter space for cooking, or bringing in a ton of food! We've got high-speed internet via Starlink, so working from the cottage deck overlooking the water has never been easier!
The Space:
Get the morning started right with a complimentary tea or Nespresso coffee and plan your day in The County. Evenings can be spent on the large comfortable couch watching Netflix or a full night of family board games (tons to choose from!). Our cottage is situated close to the water with wonderful views all year long. We’re just a 15 minute drive from Picton and 30 minutes from Sandbanks Provincial Park’s beaches!
If you enjoy yoga, fold up the murphy bed in the solarium bedroom downstairs with full views of the water, and access to the back patio.
There are 2 kayaks, a canoe (+ paddles and lifejackets) for the summer months and a 30' dock with unobstructed views of the lake! In the mudroom there is a container with various sizes of water shoes — recommended for swimming as the beach entrance is a little rocky.
Use our 240V EV charger plug for your hybrid/electric car, or stop by Tyendinaga when exiting the 401 to fill up on affordable gas.

We loved the time spent at your waterfront cottage. We had our two-year old grandson and his parents with us. It was a relaxing holiday with lots to do… or just to decompress with wine, sunshine and the water.
This was the perfect spot for my elderly mother (main floor bedroom!) sister and me and Blackberry. Beautifully appointed cottage, gorgeous view. So many modern conveniences, thoughtful small details and rustic charm. Our only challenge was not being able to reach the property managers in a timely manner on checkin when one room needed linens and we were looking for outdoor furniture.
Not able to answer our questions when they eventually did reach out. Otherwise 5 star. One way to enhance would be to have orientation binder. That way guests can be totally self sufficient.

Defects with house and bad management company
We documented electrical problems with the home. Breathe’s instructions tellingly noted breakers may have to be reset. AC repeatedly trips breakers. Even if on, house can get unbearably hot. The panel is behind the washer and dryer unit with the incomplete labeling buried so far behind the unit that an electrician had to help us figure out which breaker to reset. The lights in the laundry room barely worked and switch had to be turned off and on a few times for the lights to come fully on.
A horrible worsening smell would periodically waft into the home. I quote Breathe here: “[the smell and freezer temporarily not working] might be part of the the same issue with breakers not powering certain functions and areas.” A septic servicer came and initially said a neighbor’s manure may be the problem (~1km away…). Then, he had to dig up the septic opening to investigate. He discovered a bend in the drain line that was collecting waste and he noted the smell was likely caused by gases backing up. He recommended digging up the side of the house and fixing it. Breathe said in writing: “We've received the full report and are now pending work to be done. If approved, it would be happening on Monday.” Breathe then lied to VRBO the issue got fixed and told us we are “overexaggerating.”
Breathe’s emergency line rolls to voicemail, always.
The house was very clean and well-appointed. There were many small touches that made our stay more enjoyable, like games and puzzles, a hammock, canoe and kayaks plus PFDs etc. I really appreciated the kitchen; it had everything we needed. The bathrooms were also very nice. The location is very quiet, being 15 minutes drive away from Picton, so plan your purchases accordingly. But for relaxing in a quiet green spot on the water this is the best rental we had in PEC so far.
