We are a legal "VRBO", with a 98% Five Star Rating! Maintained Premier and Super Host Status every quarter since opening in 2016!

Terri Smith and Jeff Zemanek had a vision to create a small boutique hotel allowing guest to experience the best of Historic Newport.

The Newport Inn is located at 634 Monmouth St., close to restaurants, family activities, great views, nightlife, sporting events (20-minute walk for a ballgame), river fronts in Newport and downtown Cincinnati. You’ll love the ambiance, the people, the outdoors space, the lively neighborhood. Make sure to check out Newport on the Levee with live music, comedy clubs, and a world class aquarium. Seasonal Ghost Tours, as well as Gangster Tours will give you a historic perspective of this quaint town!

There are two newer music venues, MegaCorp and Brady just blocks away!!

This particular suite is great for two couples to explore the city and nightlife, or for families taking in games, the aquarium, tours, and more!

This 900 sqft, second floor suite is a 2 BR (King Serta i-Comfort beds) with a non-working fireplace in each, and a large walk-in shower. Located just a few blocks from the Ohio River, we are located right in the heart of the historic district in a beautiful turn of the century building. If you would also like to experience the big city, a walk or shuttle ride to downtown Cincinnati creates a whole new dimension. The end result is a luxurious stay, which combines the best of both worlds.

Jeff's career led him to spending many nights in hotels and not always satisfied by what he found. When we decided to build an inn, there were criteria which had to be met: 1. Great beds! 2. Great shower! 3. Variety of pillows! 4. Peace and quiet! 5. Free Wi-Fi! 6. HD TVs with HD signal! 7. Outside area to relax! 8. A full kitchen to make it feel like home! Lastly, a friendly staff who is there to help with recommendations or whatever is needed to make it a special stay!!

Red Bikes is a block away to rent.

PRIVATE PARKING LOT INCLUDED for two cars, and is directly behind the inn!

Lastly, come and visit our Urban Chick Bar and Bottle Shop on the first floor!

The place was beautiful and perfect location for walking to Newport on the Levy and the Reds Ballpark. The owner Jeff was amazing to work with! The covered patio was a perfect place to relax after full days of fun. Highly recommend!! we will definitely stay at Newport Inn again. Although next time we will NOT book through VRBO (or any trip ever again). They were a complete headache with horrible customer service.

We’ve stayed a few places when we come to town for Bengals games but haven’t really loved any of them until this! Super cute place, comfortable beds, clean. Great communication with the owners, easy to follow instructions for check in/out. We enjoyed spending part of the evening at the little bar downstairs. We will definitely return!

Just a beautiful cottage feel, so clean and cozy. We spent a lot of time on the covered porch! It was so close to nice restaurants and the Aquarium was just about a 7 minute walk. Would love to stay here again! Next time going to do the ghost tour!!

Great location, extremely hospitable hosts. Don't be concerned about it being above a business and right in the middle of downtown, the room is inviting, cozy and quiet! Beds were comfortable. I suggest pulling up the property on Google maps & checking the location from street view . The property itself is very nice.The kitchen and living room are spacious, as are the 2 bedrooms.The bathroom is good size and updated with modern upgrades.Being in the heart of Newport, the area is very walkable.The best part is that the Newport Pizza company is just a block away. On the subject of restaurants, the beautiful young lady tending bar at Urban Chick recommended the Mexican restaurant next door, and it was very good as well.I highly recommend Newport Inn number one.

Terri loves wine and loves to cook. Jeff loves sports and music. Both love traveling and meeting interesting people and places. We grew up in the suburbs of Cincinnati and moved to the urban environment of Newport and love it!

Why they chose this property

The location is perfect...walking distance to museums, music venues, great restaurants and bars. After the building being in Terri's family for the last 40 years, we bought it and put a boutique (Urban Chick) on the first floor. Our timing was perfect as the city is going through an amazing renaissance! We then decided to add The Newport Inn above the boutique and the rest is history. Newport has an interesting history...most of it infamous. It was Vegas before there was Vegas. All that has changed now, but the history remains a colorful part of your stay.

What makes this property unique

We offer private parking, no cleaning fees, sipping and shopping at Urban Chick Boutique Wine and Bourbon Bar, located below. As well as a concierge service!
It's a beautiful walking neighborhood with many things to do and enjoy. If you love beautiful homes and buildings built in the 1850's to 1920, this is the place to take in the architecture from this wonderful era. Don't forget our wine and bourbon bar!!
