Overall the actual house and accommodations were really good but a few disappointing issues….many dish items in the cabinet and drawers were put away dirty. We also had to move the boat over to park in the garage which was one of the “highlights” on the VRBO listing...garage parking. We were told after check out that the listing needed to be updated as the garage was not longer available. Grass had not been mowed in quite some time with the front yard being extremely tall and could not be used. And lastly, I reread the fine print once we got there and realized the downstairs bedroom was off limits at the owners request. In my opinion, that should be something that is in the description and not in the fine print that both bedrooms are upstairs.
This house is absolutely cute, charming, and exactly as described! It was incredibly clean and well-stocked with everything we needed, including plenty of towels and paper products. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, this is it. The property sits just steps away from the White River, where my husband fished every morning and had the best luck using shrimp as bait. We also hired a local fishing guide and caught plenty of trout on the White River. For a fun day trip, we drove over to the Buffalo River and floated for the day. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and highly recommend this home! We will be back! I would note, this is no reflection on the property but my 84 year old father had a hard time navigating the stairs. With both bedrooms and full bathroom upstairs I would use caution if you are traveling with someone who is disabled and/or older.
So clean, so cozy, so welcoming! We had the best weekend here. The house has just about everything you need and more! The house is situated in a great location with even more impressive views of the White River. I'm eager to book another trip here.
Excellent location close to several access points and good fishing right from the property during low water periods. Really enjoyed cooking out on the pack patio and just watching the river roll by after a day of fishing!
The home was very clean and nice. We enjoyed our stay. The railing for the stairs ends on the 2nd from the last stare at the bottom of the stars and can lead to a "misstep" if not careful in the morning with limited lighting.
The home was clean, modern and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The river being directly in the back yard was great. Mornings and evenings were spent simply enjoying the water flowing by. Hope to stay there again in the future.
This is beautiful home! You can see the river from just about everywhere amd walk right to it. Spacious, but not big. Incredibly clean. This home was perfect for a weekend away with our family.
