2BR Unit @ Ramblers Rest Resort, Venice, FL along Myakka River

This is one of the newer owner-offered fully-equipped 2BR units at Ramblers Rest Resort. It's waiting for you with all linens, dishes, utensils, pots & pans, full kitchen (including a dishwasher!), 40" flat-screen Roku TV (w/ NETFLIX, Hulu, AmazonPrime & ~20 more channels), WiFi Internet, 3 state-of-the-art mini-split A/C units (each with its own remote-control). 1st BR = Queen bed, 2nd BR = bunk-beds (at the opposite end of the unit). Not handicap accessible; stairs are present at both entrances (see pictures).

Enjoy all the Resort amenities: Heated Pool, HotTub, Kids Splash Zone, Shuffle-Board, Billiards, Fitness center, Volleyball, Putting Green, Tennis/Pickleball court, Horseshoes, Fishing dock on Myakka River, & more. Everything is a short stroll from your doorstep. Peaceful wooded setting with winding paved roads. People-friendly, all-age atmosphere. Unit near the rear of Resort = minimum resort car traffic.

A quick 10-mile drive takes you to quaint downtown Venice's shopping, restaurants, and sandy beaches. Numerous eateries, groceries, etc along this route too. World-famous Siesta Key Beach is just 16 more miles further north.

It was perfect, the location was great. It had everything you needed plus more. Grill and bikes a plus. We went on several bike rides around the resort it was beautiful. Amazing stay at 2bedrm mobile at Ramblers Rest!

This mobile 2 bedroom was Amazing! Had everything we needed right there, small cooler to take to the beach, Venice Beach is only about 20 minutes. We also had the use of 2 Beach chairs, and a umbrella!! The resort itself is excellent, large pool, kids splash pad!! Needs attention!

The good-Comfortable bed, washer and dryer in unit very convenient, and common resort areas exceptional. The bad- place needs a good cleaning and general maintenance. I notified the manager that the toilet continuously ran after every flush and needed to be repaired. She told me they had replaced the inside parts several times and you just need to be gentle with it and it will stop running. Not acceptable. My husband fixed it with an $8 part from Ace Hardware. There was only 1 working bicycle and no lawn chairs. One “bag” chair was totally broken and one was on the verge. Outer door needs to be repaired, as it doesn’t shut by itself. Deck and steps need repair and painting or staining. Furniture was dirty and couch cushions so worn that it was terribly uncomfortable to sit on. I’ve never had this experience with a VRBO rental before.

Very nice and comfortable with a couple minor issues. The refrigerator was louder than a vacuum cleaner but it was reported and assume it will be fixed. Neighbors and neighborhood were quiet except for one vehicle alarm that went off twice.

Nice little cottage

The rental was in good shape with the exception of a strange smell (rather musty) when entering the property. Perhaps have an air freshener/diffuser at the property? It was clean and the accommodations were as expected. The bed was very comfortable! The only odd experience was having to do an exit checkout at departure. My husband had commitments while visiting and with our two day stay it was an inconvenience to have to schedule a 45 second walkthrough. The individual also completing the walkthrough also had an appt on the morning of the checkout which was a bit of an inconvenience for the guests and we had to work around their schedule.

Great place for a snowbird

We enjoyed our stay at N16 in Ramblers Rest. A great location in Venice and also a great location within the park. We had a few minor things related to general wear and tear that needed to be fixed and all were addressed quickly. BBQ was not fixed due to parts availability. We booked again for next year. Owners very responsive, open and flexible.

Why they chose this property

A corner lot with a grass side-lot & picnic table. Also near the rear of the Resort (resulting in fewer resort traffic noise).

What makes this property unique

This unit is DECADES newer than the majority of units at Ramblers Rest. The 3 neighboring Resort-owned units look the same on the outside, but have multiple fewer amenities on the inside, and w/o our shaded grass side-yard. :)
