Good Break over Christmas

Pleasant stay over Christmas but cut short due to very hot weather and small grassfire on a 40 degree day.Cottage very comfortable and clean, just a pity about the weather. Adrian is a delightful hostess

Don Valley Lodge is simply the best

We thoroughly enjoyed our luxury stay at the lodge over a two night stay. The cottage has all the necessities to stay in and enjoy a comfortable sleep in comfy beds and cosy night in to watch a movie. We loved the breakfast provisions and enjoyed exploring the property on our walks in the afternoon. Great location and only 15 minutes away from main attactions in nearby suburbs. Darian and her family made us feel welcome and made our stay very enjoybable and memorable. Highly recommend for home away from home experience.

Bird Paradise

Very clean. Well organised. Very accommodating and a great winter getaway close drive to nearby towns of Healesville and Warburton. Lots for the kids to do like feed the birds, adventure around the vast premise and gardens, play on the playground, look out for the wombats at night, play board games and read.

Amazing host and lovely cottage!

The photos doesn’t give this lovely cottage justice. The host was amazing and very responsive. Loved the personal touch and also the extra consideration given by providing extra towels and blankets etc. even though we didn’t used them it was a very nice touch from the host. There’s a cubby house which my girls were crazy for. The cottage is very well equipped with split system in the main area and portable heaters in each bedroom. Quality kitchen and more than enough cutlery, plates and proper tea mug (which tea lovers like mewill appreciate). Lots of board games and dvds to keep the whole family entertained. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back. Thank you again Darian for being a super host!
