Enjoy an affordable holiday in this quaint, fully air-conditioned 2-bedroom (plus sleep out) Queenslander in peaceful Picnic Bay.

Located in the picturesque and quiet haven of Picnic Bay, this classic older style Queenslander is ideal for an affordable and relaxing Maggie Island holiday.

If you love a round or 2 of golf, the Magnetic Island Golf course is also a minute's walk from your holiday home.

The perfect destination for families on a budget and looking for a traditional island holiday.

This endearing holiday home has 2 bedrooms and a sleep out, with open plan lounge, kitchen and dining areas.

There is air-conditioning in the bedrooms and living area plus ceiling fans throughout, and the traditional louvred windows provide beautiful flow-through breeze. Note, there are no insect screens at this property or bedroom doors. Privacy screens/curtains are available to close off rooms.

A large, fully enclosed verandah incorporates a laundry area, BBQ, informal dining and undercover play area for the kids.

Situated on a large, unfenced, grassed and landscaped block, there is plenty of space for the kids to play or for the family to sit back, relax and enjoy the tranquil surrounds.

There are 2 bedrooms, each with a Queen bed, and the sleep out area has 2 single beds.

Pets are permitted at this property however please note that the property is unfenced.

A few minute's walk will take you to the beautiful Picnic Bay beach, ideal for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking or exploring. Take a leisurely stroll along the jetty or throw in a line as the jetty is highly regarded as a top fishing location. There are two barbeque areas along the beachfront, a fully fenced adventure playground and a patrolled beach area on weekends and public holidays. Enjoy a wonderful meal at the Picnic Bay Hotel whilst taking in the views across the bay to Townsville. There is also a regular bus service which stops right outside the hotel.

If you love a round or two of golf, the Magnetic Island Golf course is also a minute's walk from your holiday home.

Love this property, very clean and pet friendly. Comfy beds and aircon. Walking distance to the jetty, swim enclosure and pub. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. Our favourite Maggie Island stay

Relaxing holiday.

Property is better looked after now specially with the air cons. Had problems with the toilet not flushing on Sunday morning. Rang agent plumber fixed on the Sunday. Very quiet, lovely walk to Picnic Bay. I will be back for sure.

Thanks for your review. As you did not actually stay in the property we find the 1 star to be a little bit unfair. The property is presented exactly as it is, an older style house with very basic furnishings and a low price that accurately reflects this. Whitehaven2 has proven to be very popular for many guests and appeals to the budget friendly traveller, and those who would like to bring their pet with them for their beach holiday.
