We really like staying here

We love the cabins here at Susitna River Lodging—we’ve now come out twice as a nice weekend getaway, and we really appreciate the option to bring our dog. The location is great—right on the river, but only about a 20 minute walk from the Main Street in Talkeetna. I’m sure we’ll be back again!

We sat by the river and enjoyed the views and watched as the clouds lifted and we could see Denali! The cabin was very cozy and comfortable!

Loved our very comfortable cabin and its location right on the river.

Our cabin was wonderful, spacious and well thought out. I greatly appreciated having individual climate controls in each bedroom. The bathroom was nice. We didn't cook but it looked like the kitchen was decently equipped had we needed to. One thing I wanted was someplace to put the decorative bed pillows at night; I didn't want to put them on the floor so I ended up piling them on the nightstand. Maybe add a shelf or something? We loved doing jigsaw puzzles in the main lodge in the evenings.

Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful, great staff!

Not only is this one of the nicest accommodations in Talkeetna, they are still within walking distance to downtown, but far enough away it is quiet and peaceful. The river is just outside your front door! The staff is awesome!

The cabin was larger and cozier than I ever imagined and it was SO CLOSE to the river. The gnarled, moss covered tree outside was lovely and staff were incredible.
