Town Lake Hideaway: Town Lake Hideaway | Peaceful U.P. Winter Escape

Muhammad, we're glad that you enjoyed your stay, and we hope that you will come back again.

Thank you for your kind words! We’re so glad your family had a wonderful and relaxing stay and that the home had everything you needed. You were excellent guests, and we’d be happy to welcome you back anytime! -Van FVR

I'm so glad to hear you appreciated the spices! And yes—being close to Munising and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore makes this a wonderful location, especially for guests who enjoy a more remote setting. The 2-track road leading to the cabin can become more challenging to navigate during wet weather. I was a little surprised to see that your final rating didn't quite reflect the positive experience you shared with us during your stay. Your first-impression rating was 5 stars, and when we checked in, you let us know everything was great. Still, I appreciate hearing your perspective after your stay as well. You are right that the cottage is dated in some aspects. Thank you also for bringing the stability of the dock to our attention. Had we known about it during your stay, we would have gladly sent someone out to address it right away. I completely understand, though, that you may simply have preferred not to be disturbed while enjoying your time away. We truly appreciate your feedback and would be happy to welcome you back again. Thank you for staying with us and for being great guests! Sincerely, Cara Owner, Freshwater Vacation Rentals

Philip-- Please accept our sincere apologies. While I do not wish to make excuses for falling short on your experience, I feel the need to explain what went wrong. Our landscaper was actually mowing the wrong house. We only came to that conclusion after he was insisting the lawn was mowed, and you were insisting it was not. Then, he started sending us pictures of what was mowed, and we sent our cleaner out to verify what had been mowed. Finally, we were able to put it all together. It was a big mistake. It wasn't deliberate. Turns out our neighbor was getting a free lawn mow. I wish I would have known you felt the value didn't measure up to what you paid. I'm truly sorry we fell short. Sincerely, Cara Owner, Freshwater Vacation Rentals
