The property was beautiful and the host very responsive. The only things that prevent a 5/5 booking were: a surprising fee applied to the booking for guests in excess of 6 (we were two families of 4) on a property clearly marketed to large groups. While the host was responsive to our question about this and adjusted the booking, the fee could not be recovered from vrbo. Additionally, the sound isolation in the house is non-existent and noise carries throughout. Not a huge issue but combined with the surprising fee, meant this was not a 5/5 for us.I reiterate though, the property is in excellent shape and the host very responsive. Overally a very positive stay.

Christmas family getaway

We all enjoyed our stay. Even though the weather changed and the mountains closed, we had wonderful family time enjoying all the cabin offered us. Adults, teens and younger children would have liked to stay longer. Thankyou to the hosts for our wonderful vacation in the mountains.

Wonderful stay

The property is beautiful and the owners are great. It rained all weekend but we certainly didn’t mind being stuck inside. The cottage is stunning, comfortable, and gorgeous. My group of friends have stayed at several cottages over the years and this was by far the nicest. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful rental, very well maintained

Loved this rental for our corporate retreat weekend, it was just what we needed. Space was great, kitchen was fully stocked with supplies (aside from groceries, of course). Just be careful on the drive in, the roads are very twisty in the area. Would definitely rent again.

Beautiful private cabin

A great cabin stay for a couple of nights. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, check in was easy and we even took advantage of the electric charger with our rental Tesla. Beautiful woodsy views and a nice outdoor porch and fire pit area for sitting outside. Be sure to bring bug spray! Definitely a lot of mosquitos!

Lovely stay in Cantley

Everything was exceptionally clean!! The hosts answered any questions in a helpful and timely fashion. The only thing I would mention is that sound is not very insulated! You can hear upstairs everything in the basement-even whispers, the walls are very thin so be mindful of how much noise you make as to not wake others. Thanks to the hosts

A gorgeous new chalet

We were a group of 7 adults and 2 kids, staying in the area for a family wedding. This home was really lovely -- newly done, decently equipped, very clean, attractively decorated -- as expected. The only small difference from the listing is that the "5 bedrooms" are not all private from one another -- there are 3 private rooms and an open-style loft upstairs that has 2 singles and a queen -- very nice, but if you need 5 x privacy this may not suit you. Overall, we had a terrific stay and would highly recommend.

Staff weekend

We were a group of 7 ladies looking for a relaxing weekend. The chalet was very well appointed with more than adequate supplies but a main draw was the hot tub and it wasn’t working. The owner came quickly but was unable to get it working. A slight refund would have been appreciated

Fantastic log home in the woods!

Our group of 8 came here for a girls weekend away in the early fall. It did not disappoint! This is a pristine, new and well appointed log home. The outdoor spaces are welcoming and there is plenty of seating. The main floor deck looks out into a canopy of stunning oak trees while the lower walkout has a great (and easy) propane fire bowl, next to the hot tub and more seating, including two fun hanging swing chairs. Inside on the main floor there is a fabulous kitchen with everything you need. A large island with seating for 4 and a comfy dining table with seating for 8! There is a large L-sofa area around the wood stove and a 3 piece bath and laundry. The staircases are open and beautiful! Down takes you to a great recreation room: tv, arcade table and games table (with plenty of card and board games to choose from) and 2 large bedrooms. Upstairs is there is a four-piece bath with an amazing large, tub; one semi-private bedroom (you have to walk through the large loft with the other 3 beds to reach it). No problem for us as a large group of friends, but just something to keep in mind. There are many windows but black out curtains make it easy to sleep in if you want to! Yves was quick to reply to our every question and concern and we greatly enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend and we hope to return!

Notre séjour au Massif de Cascades s’est parfaitement déroulé. L’accueil et la prise en charge des hôtes ont été très agréable et la communication claire et simple. Les lieux étaient dans un état de propreté impeccable. Le Massif dispose également de tous les dispositifs nécessaires pour passer un séjour parfait. L’emplacement est également idéal à proximité de Gatineau et Ottawa. Je recommande fortement cet hébergement pour tous.
