Hartwell House has origins in the 1770s and expanded in the 1800s and 1970s. It is in a protected cove off Ebenecook Bay with deep water accesss for all water activities. Located on the fully contained community of Southport Island and accessible via a bridge. Hartwell House is within 15 minutes of its more famous, and oft times more 'busy' neighbor, Boothbay Harbor. In addition to a private dock, the house offers:

. An immense living/family room with fireplace
. A charming country eat-in kitchen with fireplace
. Cable and high speed internet
. A well planted patio on a sweeping front lawn that edges the cove
. Many edible offerings from the blueberries, raspberries, rhubarb, apples and grapes that grow on the property (While edibility depends on when you are there, the beauty of the growth is constant)
