Nestled amongst farming land this fully renovated cottage offers a beautiful relaxing country experience. A perfect base to explore the beautiful south coast beaches, eateries, shopping, whale watching, bike riding & water activities.

Circa 1860 bluestone cottage is steeped in Port Elliot history. The original owner was James Harding and his wife Eliza who arrived in Australia in 1853 from Duxford, Cambridgeshire with their two children.
Please note property doesn't have a full kitchen. No cooking facilities.
The cottage is at the front and the owner's house is at the back.
Property is not suitable for young children.
Gates are open and young kids could get out on the road
Parking: Outside the house at the front of the house, not the driveway.
Use of land garden next door. Be extra careful as the garden has steep steps
The cottage has a welcoming central entrance that leads to a main lounge room with an open fireplace. Leading from the lounge room are two bedrooms with queen beds, a kitchenette/dining room and a modern spacious bathroom with a bath. WIFI, Netflix & Amazon are included. The cottage is tastefully styled with modern furnishings whilst keeping in with quaint olde world charm.

Duxford Cottage is the ideal choice for one or two couples looking for peace & relaxation in a country setting whilst being a perfect base to explore the beautiful south coast beaches, eateries, shopping, whale watching, bike riding & water activities. On the grounds amongst established gardens there is a lovely picnic area down next to the creek by a small bridge.

We take extra care to ensure the property is fully maintained, spotlessly clean & comfortable to provide you with a relaxing holiday.

Quaint cottage stay if you don't mind the traffic noise

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I loved this gorgeous cottage, but it is on a main road and I found the traffic a bit noisy as it's a 100kmh zone. The linen and beds were lovely and comfy. There is a someone living in the back section of house so unable to use the driveway which is a shame as you need to park next to the busy road out front. Also as there is no kitchen as such, the only water tap/sink is actually the bathroom basin, a tad annoying if someone else is in there using the toilet or shower when you wish to fill the kettle etc. Also feels odd washing the dishes in the bathroom sink and using the drainer next to toilet! I booked through and I received in excess of a dozen emails about my booking which felt over the top!
