Great Unit Steps from Trendy Streetlife
I received the access information while flying from overseas to Melbourne and, unfortunately as a foreigner, I did not have internet access until I could connect to the WiFi provided in the unit. The access email contained a link to a video clip to locate the key. I was able to speak with a staffer directly by telephone to finally gain access. I also believe having a physical handbook in the apartment would be valuable instead of solely relying on the digital version. Visitors having universal internet access should not be assumed. The apartment is situated in a great location for easy access to downtown. The glorious skyline of downtown is in full view from the main room of the unit. The terrace is a special bonus. I was able to prepare great meals in the well-designed kitchen. The bathroom design feels luxurious. It took me a week to figure out how to get hot water to flow in the shower, however. I slept in quiet which was wonderful in neighborhood full of nightspots. I would suggest a chest of drawers to place clothes in would enhance the experience for long stays. Overall, I really appreciated my 45-day stay in the property .

Nice unit but maintenance poor
The unit needed some simple maintenance. Although new the toilet seat was loose (had to borrow a screwdriver to fix). Shower mixer handle fell off (had to borrow some Allen keys to tighten the grub screw). The main bedroom has no drawers or shelves (except very high shelves in the wardrobe which are too difficult to reach), so apart from hanging clothes the rest had to stay on the floor in suitcases. Cleaners did not appear to be of good quality as the oven was dirty (I left that), the oven tray I had to scrub clean to be able to use it, dirty linen in a plastic storage bag in the laundry. Minimal facilities (ie one tea towel available), only the minimum 4 of everything, dishwasher is unable to take the large plates provided (anyway did not use it as there is not enough plates to fill it) Overall a nice modern place, good location, and great view. Aircon works well. Disappointed that it was not being maintained / cleaned at all well, especially after reading the L’Abode ravings on quality! L’Abode also required the renter to prove identity, pay 100% upfront, and would only advise the address one day before arrival. Will be thinking twice before taking another L’Abode property as it appears that they are only concerned with guaranteeing their money.
