With access to the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico (5 minutes to the river) this vacation home is a dream. The huge outdoor area with its summer kitchen will invite you to spend a lot of time outside. A beautiful water view will have you loving every minute spend on your huge private lanai, relaxing in the living room, cooking in the beautiful kitchen, sitting in the dining area or just waking up in the master or one of the three guest bedrooms. When in Florida one must enjoy the outdoors and the Royal Key and surrounding areas will allow you to do so to the fullest. Located on a quiet street in the old Yacht Club Area, you are close to any shopping you can imagine. Mini malls, grocery stores, department store or outlet malls are all just a short drive away. Done shopping and looking for more adventure? Boating from one island to another, shelling at one of our many white, sandy beaches, bird watching, fishing, seeing pelicans and dolphins whenever possible, cooling off and playing in the private pool or just sitting in the spa and enjoying your surroundings. Whatever you feel like doing is a possibility, it's your vacation after all.
When at the Royal Key you can relax in a home that is bright and airy, decorated with calming sea colors and a love of details that cannot be missed. Fully supplied and furnished it has everything you might need for the time you get to call it your home. Great house for a boating vacation

House was great, large, lots of room, clean, wonderful pool, dock and tiki bar and especially perfect for anyone looking to bring their boat on their vacation. Nice boat cruise to Sanibel island right from the house. Lots of places to pull up for a bite to eat and lots of places to swim. Just what we were looking for!

Not what we expected

Location was great! Beautiful view! House was more outdated in person than expected. This house was extremely clean and we appreciated that for sure. Furniture, especially outdoor furniture, was very old and no matter how much you cleaned that furniture it just did not feel comfortable sitting on it because cushions were so stained and dirty looking. The biggest complaint I would say about this house is that the pool never got warm! Each day we were there it was around 80 and above so the temperatures outside were very warm. The pool heater never seemed to work properly and you could not heat the pool and the hot tub at the same time. Additionally, there were days we couldn’t even get the hot tub warm enough to sit in it. This location is beautiful, but the house needs a lot of updates.
