Spacious architecturally Designed Beach House by Chris Clout, featuring spectacular outdoor living, pool and spa in Sunshine Beach. This 5 bedroom home provides space and luxury to enjoy, close to beach and shops.

Cubby House won the Gold award in 2018, HomeAway Family Friendly Holiday Rental Awards category. The judge's comments : "This is, quite simply, a home that will make your kids squeal with joy the moment you open the front door - what a fabulous family getaway!"

And now in 2022, it is still the same fabulous home but recently updated.

Architecturally designed, award winning fully air-conditioned beach house creates a holiday retreat with all the luxuries. Set across two buildings, the home provides stylish comfort - enjoy the indoor/outdoor living space, the pool complete with heated spa and outdoor entertaining area with kitchen and bar space.

Its rare layout and optimal fit out provides many luxurious spaces for entertaining, relaxing or sleeping. The separation from the main house via a timber bridge leads you to the master suite creating a private and decadent feel. The rooftop terrace also captures ocean glimpses and hinterland views as well as beautiful sunset views.

The main house built over two levels, creating separate living areas, downstairs opens up to outdoor wooden cubby house and the pool area.

The home is only a 5 minute walk to the Sunshine Beach Village, where you will find a selection of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. The beach and Sunshine Beach Surf Club are also located near the Village. The famous Hastings Street is an easy 5 minute drive.

Cubby House stay

Easily accommodated all 10 of our family including 2 young grandchildren. Pool and spa were very popular as was the Sunshine Beach coffee shops, beach and surf club.

Great location! Walk to the shops and Sunshine beach. The house was perfect for our group. Two families with children ranging from 13yrs to a 2.5 yr old. Kerrianne was a pleasure to deal with.

Cubby House Adventure

We were three families, and loved that adults could enjoy having the space of a King Room each, and that the children could all share the bedrooms & TV room downstairs. Lots of activities for the kids, with the pool, basketball ring, cubby house, ping pong table, and various other toys and games inside. Kerriann was wonderful to deal with, and very accommodating of our arrival and departure times. Highly recommend this place.

The booking process and management was all great. Great location. The bedrooms are spacious and beds comfortable. In my opinion the house needs a bit of maintenance to bring it up to a standard that fits the price. There are missing tiles on the pool edge, boards lifting on the decks, pieces of the fence that have fallen off and issues with the pool gates not closing properly sometimes which is an issue with kids around. We had a significant amount of rain and master bedroom leaked in 4 different places. I think until this property gets an upgrade I’d not return.
