Casa Otomi is a 3 bedroom, 4.5 bath private home, with a rooftop pool and hot tub, in Puerto Morelos, Mexico.
It's situated in a residential part of the downtown, an easy walk to both the beach and the town square.

Just inside the gate there is an outdoor beach shower, as well as storage for provided beach chairs, umbrella, and beach items.

The ground floor of the home has living area with comfortable seating, Smart TV, dining for 8, chef's kitchen overlooking an outdoor fountain, and half bath.
The back window wall of the home slides back onto a screened outdoor courtyard with seating and dining.

The second floor features 2 king bedrooms, each with an en-suite bath, as well as laundry with washer and dryer.

The third floor has a third king bedroom with en-suite bath.

The rooftop has a private sunning area with two loungers, a seating area under a shade pergola, full bath, hot tub, and pool.

This home is very comfortably furnished as the owners are often in residence.
​​​​​​​Amenities include comfortable beds, quality linens and rugs, handmade tile in bathrooms, original local art, Bluetooth Sonos speakers, high speed fiber optic internet with mesh router system that covers the entire home (service is generally reliable but not guaranteed), security alarm, safe for valuables, air conditioning, & fully equipped kitchen.

For Guest Safety: The stairway of this home is an open design with rope under the wooden top rail. It is not safe for small children, and therefore we do not rent to guests with small children.

Midweek cleaning service with change of sheets and towels will take place after 7 days of stay. We will be happy to arrange additional cleaning upon request.

Our Property Management Company has an office in the town square and is available for any needs during your stay, as well as having an after-hours emergency number.

The house is gorgeous and spacious. Had everything we needed. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool. There were beach chairs to take to the beach about 2 blocks away. While there we rented bicycles. We ate at a different restaurant each night. The property manager, Deborah, was amazing and helped so much. And all the beds (all king size) were so comfortable!

Great stay

Everything about Casa Otomi is as advertised. The photos are very accurate and our check-in and check-out were quick and easy. Israel was quick to respond to any questions we had and Ricardo was on top of all of the maintenance.

Lovely quiet spot - short walk to beach

Was not a seamless stay but the host was very responsive and sorted things out quickly. Screened porch was lovely and the rooftop floating pool had a great view. Lovely spot for a few days of relaxing and exploring Puerto Morelos.

Great Visit in P.M.!

We really enjoyed our stay in Puerto Morelos at Casa Otomi. The property manager was incredibly responsive and helped us out immediately with any questions, and was very prompt in addressing the one small concern we had. The house was exceptional, location to the beach was perfect, and the walk to town was easy. We will most certainly be back - couldn't say enough great things about Casa Otomi!

hot tub under the stars

a nice peaceful street even with construction down the road the house is really comfortable to be in. great breeze all windowes and balconies screened in no bugs! the art in the house was wonderful we even found on of the artist at the night market. the bed was really nice quality. shower good pressure hot water all the time. We spent a lot of time on the roof great hot tub and floating pool.great lounge chairs to read,take in the sun and shade. We liked the walk in to town. overall really happy with the stay.

The house was somewhat disappointing, we had issues with the hot tub operation and cleanliness of pool, the tv never worked, we had an ant issue in one of the beds and an underlying garbage smell in the kitchen. We felt that was probably the fault of the property management company vs the actual home owner

Wonderful House for Adult Group

This house was perfect for our group of 6 adults for our 9 night stay. We’d been to Puerto Morelos twice before (2005 & 2008) when our kids were young. They are now young adults (24 & 27) with lovely partners and we wanted to celebrate the university graduation of the younger pair as well as get together with our daughter and her boyfriend who live and work in the UK. The house was just great for our occasion. Each bedroom has a king size bed and an ensuite so each couple had their own space. The kitchen was well supplied with all we needed. We used all parts of the house from the rooftop pool deck to the screened back terrace. The house had a stock of many games which we enjoyed. Easy walking distance to many wonderful restaurants and to a grocery store that met all our needs. Fans and AC in every room. Parking on the street right in front of the house was never a problem.

The host was excellent — responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the stay. The property itself is nice and has good amenities overall, but several recurring maintenance and transparency issues impacted the experience, especially given the price point.The boiler is an older unit (over 20 years old), and the pilot light went out daily and had to be relit each time. When we raised the issue, it was attributed to wind. However, the boiler is located inside a closed room within a sealed panel inside the house, so wind does not appear to be a reasonable explanation. The tank is also quite small, and only one boiler can operate at a time — both cannot be lit simultaneously. As a result, hot water supply was limited.We were also not informed in the listing that toilet paper cannot be flushed, which is important information that should be disclosed upfront.Additional concerns:•The rear patio door does not lock. The backyard is surrounded by a concrete wall, but it would not be difficult for someone to access if they wanted to.•People would come and go without notifying us until we specifically called and requested advance notice.•The kitchen sink became clogged during our stay.Individually, these items may seem minor, but it felt like something required attention each day. It is a nice rental with potential, but it did not come without its headaches. Addressing the maintenance, security, and disclosure issues would improve the guest experience.
