About this property

Charming home with stunning lake views!

This charming house has wonderful sweeping views of Seneca Lake! A 10 minute convenient walk along the lake to downtown Watkins Glen restaurants, bars, shops and other destinations.
The house has a sitting room, a living room with You Tube TV, and games, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. We can sleep 5 comfortably and 8 MAX.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms with a full sized bed in each.
Downstairs there is one large bedroom with a queen size bed AND two twin beds that includes its own bathroom. We call that the bunk room! This house is great for families or groups looking to enjoy the lake and wineries in the area, explore the Village, the Watkins Glen State Park, the plentiful hiking, beautiful waterfalls or Watkins Glen International Race Track.

Spend the days exploring the beautiful finger lakes and then relax on the outdoor deck with a glass of wine overlooking beautiful Seneca Lake after a busy day!
Ample parking with a driveway that can accommodate 4-5 cars.
We can forward all kinds of info to you via this app upon request and will have a information available to you including suggestions for many of the areas points of interests. (Restaurants, Wineries, Bars, Water activities and short road trips).
We have enjoyed eight seasons as vacation rental owners and look forward to hosting visitors this 2025 season at Green Point Getaway!
Julie and Joe. *PLEASE NOTE* after the 2024 season from December to March we will be renovating. We will be upgrading the entryway adding a new front porch, new front door and a new sliding glass door -! Edit: 4/2025 it is complete but we are still working on updating our pictures!

We have a driveway that can accommodate approximately four vehicles. There is no parking in the front of the house and by permission in the back.

Wonderful property with beautiful views, if I could’ve given it six stars I would’ve. It’s perfect for a relaxing stay or if you’re looking for things to do the Gorge, wineries, lakes, town, etc are all nearby. The host was very accommodating and responded quickly to messages. I can’t wait to come back here.

This is a beautiful, charming house with breathtaking views of Lake Seneca. Julie is very organized, clean, and made settling in a breeze for my group. She even provided lots of information about local wineries and other things to do. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the patio while taking in the views. The house is very close to downtown, and we were able to walk there for dinner. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Our stay was excellent. Felt right at home immediately. The beds were very comfortable. We only needed to make our breakfast and coffee for the day, otherwise we were out and enjoying the area and for us the Nascar race. But the kitchen met our needs very well.Sitting outside on the deck looking at the Lake and watching the Moon rise was beautiful. Also sitting around the fire, making our s'mores, laughing and joking.

The property was beautiful, the view of the lake from the house is spectacular. the house its fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. everty detail has been though out. the host has everything labeled through out the house to make it easy and assesseble. the location is very close to resturants and shopping. the host was very helpful with suggestion of activities and restaurants for my family. She even did some personized notes and gift to make us feel even more welcomed. I would definalty recommend staying here if your looking for a place in this area.

Our group of 8 (FFL) had a great stay. Although there isn't direct water access the view makes up for it. Lovely setting and only a mile from downtown Watkins Glen .We enjoyed our Cycle Boat tour with great music, snacks and libation. Julie is a great host, bubbly and welcoming. The cottage is sparkling clean, everything is labeled so an easy find. We all agreed we would return. Thanks, Julie.

This home is absolutely lovely! The location is great -- beautiful view of Seneca Lake, lots of outdoor space with a deck, hammock, and fire pit. The home is situated in a quiet neighborhood, and Julie the owner, keeps the property meticulous. Home is stocked with everything you might expect and even things you wouldn't expect. Julie also went above and beyond to provide us with helpful hints about attractions, wineries, restaurants and more. We would definitely rent this property again. Julie, you have a gem of a property and made it feel like home for us. Thank you!

Another Amazing Stay

I have stayed at Julie's place several times and each time it is perfect! I highly recommend this house. It is a great location to explore Watkins Glen and the surrounding wineries. Julie's hospitality is wonderful, the beds are comfortable and she has thought of all the little details to make your time at the house enjoyable.

Perfect spot for us!

We couldn't have had a more perfect stay at this charming property. We were in town for a bachelorette wine tasting weekend (a group of 7 women). There was plenty of room for all of us and we appreciated all of the special touches. We all said that we would stay there again!

This is one of the nicest properties I’ve rented. The host was great; she provided a lot of info about the area and even left a chilled bottle of local wine to welcome us! The home is indeed charming, very clean, comfortable and well-organized (I loved the little chalkboard labels telling us where everything is). The view of the lake from the house is beautiful and there are 3 outdoor spaces for relaxing, all of which flow into each other, with lake view. There is no lake access from the house, but this was clearly stated in the property description. The beds are comfortable, with four pillows on each, of varying lofts. Bathrooms are well appointed and in very good condition. Personal care products were supplied. The road at the front of the house did have a lot of big trucks running both day and night. This wasn’t an issue for us, but might be a concern for someone traveling with kids or pets. I would not describe the town of Watkins Glen to be a place where one could spend an entire day, but it does have some very good restaurants, and there are many wineries and farm stores within a short drive. Overall, it was a great experience!

The property has a beautiful view of the lake and a wonderful outdoor table and a fire pit with chairs. There is also a ton of info on things to do in the area and signs everywhere in the house to help you find things. A really wonderful house and an amazing host. We definitely plan on staying here again!

Relaxing Getaway

The house was very clean and super cute! Julie thought of everything to keep her guests comfortable. She was very quick in responding to questions and had suggestions for her guests well laid out in the home. She even went out of her way to find us an outdoor yoga session at a winery nearby! We would recommend this location to our family and friends!

The home was very thoughtfully. prepared for guests! Verona was very comfortable from our 94 year old to our 21 year old. An amazing feat. We really enjoyed gathering around the fire pit in the evenings

Amazing Girls Trip!

We had an amazing bachelorette weekend staying at Julie’s home! It had everything to accommodate us and we loved that everything was labeled and easy to use! We loved the view and sitting by the fire pit and having fun conversations about marriage and advice! The location was awesome and so close to downtown, super convenient! The beds were super comfy and we all loved the look of the upstairs bathroom! Definitely would come stay again at Julie’s home! Truly a special place!

Hello and welcome to Green Point!
My Grandfather bought this property in 1929 to woo my Grandmother to marry him! It worked! His name was Willis Green and he built my Grandma Sophie a house and painted it Green like their last name! I wonder if he knew that their daughter would end up coming back home to live with them and their granddaughters would end up living there as teenagers. My Mother always told me " the lake brings us back". She was right.
Fast forward and the fact is.... we just can't let this family treasure go.
Please enjoy what we love dearly. This house, town and region has so much to offer!
My husband Joe and I both graduated from Watkins Glen and now live in Rochester and have two children that are young adults now. When we retire we plan to move here!
My sister Jodi graduated from Watkins Glen and now lives in Canandaigua with her husband and two children!
We all clean and maintain the property collectively and enjoy time at the house anytime we can!
