Thanksgiving Gathering w/Family

Nice quiet neighbor w/plenty of outdoor yard for little ones to run & play. The weather was bitter cold so most of our stay was spent indoors preparing Thanksgiving meal, playing games, enjoying gootball games on TV

First, the property is in a wonderful location and the house is wonderful. Very clean. Lots of spiders in the basement. A giant wasp nest just above the basement outside door. Almost none of the bedroom TVs and DVD players worked. The fire alarm goes off with two chirps every morning at 2:00 am. Kitchen needs more everyday dishes and more medium and large prep dishes. Mark the light switches so that guests know what switch does what. Upstairs bathroom shower pan is cracked. That will be a problem soon.Whoever manages the property should go in after every guest and evaluate the house and supplies. The coffee that you had was stale and the sugar and creamer packets were rock hard and unusable. We have run a VRBO ourselves and wouldn’t dream of not having the basics fresh and plentiful for each visitor. We were also very attentive to problems- like the bugs and the wasps. We would have been there immediately. I messaged the host and all she said is that she didn’t know anything about it. That’s a problem. You might want to rethink your management company. Maybe find one that actually does something. Don’t just rent out your house without keeping up with it. Oh, and the side door out of the room with the one working TV (Roku is horrible) is literally falling apart. It’s called maintenance!

We're glad you loved the location and found the house very clean, that means a lot to us. We're addressing the issues you raised: the bedroom TVs and DVD players are being replaced, and we'll have the house checked before each rental to catch any pest activity like the nest you saw, since these can appear quickly even after removal. We hadn't heard about the fire alarm chirping until now and will make sure it's checked and working properly. We appreciate the detailed feedback and are using it to make improvements so future guests have an even better stay.
