CHARMING RIVER COTTAGE NEAR GRAND OLE OPRY & DOWNTOWN

If privacy and charm are what you are looking for, the Hobbit House is it! Tucked away on a quiet residential street, it is only a mile from the Grand Ole Opry, Opryland Resort and Convention Center, Opry Mills Mall, movies, restaurants, the General Jackson Showboat rides and beautiful walking/biking trails. Only 10 minutes to downtown and 15 minutes from the airport. Our cozy home has a relaxing partial view of the Cumberland River, en-suite bathrooms, TV and Wifi/cable. It has wood paneling throughout the main body of the house and hardwood floors. Suitable for 4 adults. We have a well-stocked kitchen and provide nice linens and the essentials such as shampoo and soap. This home is on a street where TV shows are shot to give the impression that the setting is out in the country. This was our home for a number of years and our friends named it the Hobbit House. Several years ago we moved to a larger house just 4 doors away, but we loved this house too much to sell it, and Richard still tends his organic garden here. This home is not for people who want everything to be new. It is the home where we raised our children. It has been lived in - and loved.

We extend our hospitality to ALL people. Come to Nashville and enjoy the attractions, then come home to relax and watch the birds, the wildlife, and the boats go by. As one of our happy guests said, "It's like being in the country and the city at the same time."

We had a wonderful time in Nashville, and being able to come back to this little haven at the end of each day was a real treat. The place is super comfy and had everything we needed with lots of space to spread out. I would love to return!

Everything was clean and ready. We felt right at home from the moment we stepped in. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The home is very well stocked with things you didn’t even know you’d need. The view is incredible and the bird feeder was always busy. Downtown Nashville was just a short drive away, and there was plenty to do near the home as well. The host were easy to reach and even came and filled the bird feeder when it was out. Wonderful place. Would stay again.

Amazing home and great location

The house was perfect! Very clean and we loved the patio overlooking the river! The location was nice too - about 15-20 minute Lyft and Uber rides to Broadway!

Charming Cottage Excellent Location

Richard and Sherry were wonderful to work with! Communication was excellent. The cottage is very charming and peaceful with a great view of the river and birds. The location is terrific! Near the Grand Ole Opry and easy access to the freeway to visit all Nashville areas. We had an awesome stay.

This is the perfect place to relax after a busy day of enjoying Nashville. It’s close to the Opry, airport and to major roads to get places. The home is cozy with a wonderful deck overlooking the river. The hosts have thoughtfully furnished the home with just about anything you might need.

It was in a good location. We did a lot of Uber rides. Beds were super comfortable. Table chairs and couch cushions need replaced, nit comfortable. I would be nice to have comfortable seating outside ans a umbrella on the large deck. We did enjoy our stay, all necessities were there. Host was very sweet.
