Secluded quiet peaceful stay

We enjoyed our stay here. Beds so comfy, the river is beautiful and house had lots of room for 5 of us Hosts wonderful and gave us a lovely basket of goodies which we enjoyed. Love to stay here again

Pelican's Rest

Generous and thoughtful touches to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Watching the Coorong birdlife was a very special extra joy at this beautiful location.

The place has everything you could possibly need on a holiday! Even sauces, snacks, bottle of wine, cheese platter, milk and special milks, unlimited coffee and tea, books, games, basket ball, table tennis, kayaks, bbq, firepit, wildlife, fishing jetty,Netflix, youtube, And most of all, No neighbours, just peace and quiet. :)

Pelicans Rest

Cannot thank Sam and Trent enough for hosting our stay. Everything and everyone catered for down to the last detail. Great place to catch up with great mates. Highly recommend staying at Pelicans Rest if you are looking for a quick, easy and hassle free get away.

Fantastic Location

Fantastic location with amazing view of the Mundoo Channel. Well equipped amenities. Loads of special entry & exit gifts. High quality linen on beds & bathrooms. Wonderful view of all the bird life.

Exceptional Stay on Hindmarsh Island

There were four adults for most of the stay with another couple joining us for the last two nights. Location was ideal, attention to detail was second to none. The most well equipped holidays house we have ever stayed in. The Xmas trees were a lovely touch together with the complimentary cereals, wine, biscuits and fresh bread. Would highly recommend.

Sam and Trent are great hosts. They have really thought about everything. Great facilities, high quality furniture and kitchen ware. clean house and beautiful view.

We can't speak highly enough of Pelican's Rest having just enjoyed 3 nights at this beautiful venue. Same goes for Sam and Trent as hosts. We regularly organise family holidays away, and can say without hesitation that Pelican's rest was the most well appointed, comfortable, luxurious and spectacular house we have ever booked. Congratulations guys, and thank you ... your generosity, thoughtfulness and soul were so appreciated.

Gorgeous house in brilliant spot

This is the most gorgeous house with high quality fittings, fixtures and furnishings. The hosts provide personal touches including welcome breakfast and items for a yummy platter, which in our case was great as hubby forgot to pack the brekky supplies! The surroundings are so quiet and peaceful and we had a fire pit every night (with the firewood supplied) and just soaked in the peace and quiet. Everything was comfortable and so much was provided including all the expected items and more. Could not have asked for more.

Fabulous

Pelicans Rest was beautiful to walk into, stunningly decorated, a perfect location with uninterrupted views of Mundoo Channel, making our visit serene & restful. Thoughtful welcome notes to us & fur babies, generous supplies, little touches & attention to detail that did not go unnoticed, which made our stay perfect. The kitchen had everything you could need, a pantry well stocked of condiments available to use & all you could need to make a perfect coffee, twinnings tea or hot chocolate with marshmallows. Great to have so many activities available. We played a bit of competitive table tennis, totem tennis & kayaked. Sam & Trent you have created a very thoughtful retreat, thank you making our stay perfect to celebrate Gary’s birthday. We would love to return.

Perfect in every way!

We stayed at Pelican's Rest for my husband's 40th so he could getaway, relax and fish! Not only did we love the property, but our 3 kids and dog did as well! Plenty to do with outdoor and indoor games/entertainment. The kids loved buzzing about from activity to activity, but mostly enjoyed swimming and looking for little creatures in the water like crabs. The property was completely fenced so safe for my 2yr old and dog to play as well. The location itself was private and just beautiful (the sunrise and bird life is amazing!). The hosts Sam & Trent were so very lovely, generous, thoughtful and helpful! They have really thought of everything to make the stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Hopefully we'll be back in the future! Kylie, Ryan & family

It was a wonderful location and the house was well equipped for a group of 8. On the whole, the property was clean and well maintained. We were disappointed with the booking process. The description was that we had the run of the whole house, a house that sleeps 8. How can you then charge for each person. Surely the price already reflects this cost.and a house that is advertised as pet friendly that then restricts the dog to only outside areas ( with an aditional cost) doesn't sound very pet friendly to me!
