Fabulous place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very quiet and secluded but close to town and restaurants. Also close to the beach on the river which we really enjoyed. The home is beautifully decorated and well equipped with all the amenities of home. Kathy and Jim were so nice and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing

Wonderful location, felt like we were remote with the convenience of town, restaurants and shops just a few miles away. The host thought and anticipated our every need. Beautiful and comfortable accommodations, definitely will be back for another visit in the future!

Heaven on earth

This was one off if not the best place we’ve stayed and we’ve been going to west Jefferson for over 25 years. She has thought of everything. If you forgot it, she has it there for you. Thank you for letting us stay.

5 stars just isn't enough!

This BNB is an absolute must!!!. It's a great location and has beautiful views. Kathy and Jim our hosts were amazing, they were warm, caring and so helpful. They have also thought of everything... and I mean absolutely everything. We've never stayed anywhere that was so welcoming, comfortable and stocked. We went to relax and visit family and came home with wonderful new friendships. Try it out, you'll love it!!!.

Kathy was an excellent hostess!!! She’s thought of absolute everything and gives a personal touch to all she does. From greeting us at check in, to the fresh baked cookies - she has an absolute flare for what she does! The cabin is equipped with everything you need and even things you may have forgotten. The kitchen is stocked with many items to get you started and support you through your stay. The location is peaceful and relaxing - we could have easily stayed longer!! We also loved the closeness of downtown West Jefferson.Kathy provides lots of tips for places to eat and things to do. We hiked Cascade Falls, went to the cheese shop in West Jefferson and also spent some time at New River State Park.Would definitely recommend staying here - perfect for couples who want a quiet getaway!!! Super clean and comfortable with lots of extras!

Jim and Kathy were excellent hosts, providing thorough communication throughout. The house was spotless. The bed was very comfortable and I especially enjoyed the oversized smart TV. The owners furnished the space with the guest experience in mind, with great attention to all the details. You should not hesitate to make your reservation, the pictures provided are exactly what you will see and more! We will definitely vacation here again in the future.

Totally Enjoyable Stay

Two things stand out: 1) The owners clearly have the gift of hospitality and do everything they can to make your visit relaxing and enjoyable. They have thought of everything that you might possibly need in their stocking of the rental! 2) It's a very good bargain. We've stayed all over western North Carolina and this is one of the best deals ever. We are used to staying more in the western part of Ashe County so we got to explore more of the New River/Glendale Springs area. It's a nice area. A quiet river walk down by Elk Shoals on the New River makes for a very serene and peaceful commune in God's creation. And-- you're very close to the shops and restaurants of West Jefferson. Would definitely consider going back!
