About this property
The Evergreen - Parking
Summary: The Evergreen is a private, newly renovated 2-bedroom guest apartment in Washington, DC's beautiful Bloomingdale neighborhood (Walk Score 96 - "Walker's Paradise"). Conveniently located near many of DC's favorite coffee shops, bars, and restaurants - and less than two miles from the city's museums, monuments, and parks on the National Mall. Bikeshare nearby, street parking, and 10min walk to metro. Fully stocked kitchen, excellent Wi-Fi, HEPA air filter, loaded with amenities.
The Space: Cozy space with good light, outdoor seating in the front of the south-facing house - great for reading or relaxing with a morning coffee.
Street parking always available on the block during the day - usually within 1-2 blocks in the evening. We can provide a guest parking pass if you let us know in advance that you're bringing a vehicle.
Guest Access: There is a family living upstairs. Please note that the everyday sounds and noises of family life (footsteps, stairs, kids playing, etc.) can be heard in both directions. You will undoubtedly hear them (and they will hear you) as they go about their everyday life.
The Neighborhood: The Washington Post called Bloomingdale "Everyone's Favorite Neighborhood" in a 2016 article, and things have only gotten better since. Great bars and restaurants, historic homes, a farmer's market that runs from April to November, excellent public transportation options and walkability (a Top 10 most walkable neighborhood according to walkscore. com). Bloomingdale is home to a DC Neighborhood Heritage Trail, which includes two stops on Randolph Place (our block).
Getting Around: Bloomingdale has a Walk Score of 96 ("Walker's Paradise") and is rated as one of the Top 10 Most Walkable Neighborhoods in DC. The house is a 10 minute Uber/Lyft ride to the Capitol and National Mall. It is situated among great public transportation lines - a ten minute walk to the Green/Yellow subway line; 20 minute walk to Red Line; two bike rental locations within blocks; several bus options; close to I-375 with easy access to Virginia; close to the Baltimore-Washington Parkway with easy access to Maryland. Street parking is almost always available on the block, and if not, never more than 1-2 blocks away.

Upon finding the place, access was good. We. Parking is a challenge but we had the parking permit which was great. Full kitchen with a few amenities and grocery stores close by. A little gem of a find for our stay.

Hi Paul, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! It was lovely to host you and we hope to have a future opportunity to welcome you back.
The property is located in a very nice neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants and bars. Ideal for any trip (family with or without kids). Very clean and updated apartment! The owner made sure we had everything we needed. I didn't enjoy the bugs though. I sat on the couch watching TV and dozed off. I woke up to numerous mosquito bites!!! I itched something aweful (still itching almost a week later)! I had to buy bug spray to spray the doorways and windows daily. I killed several mosquitos daily. It was awful! Owner should do something or provide spray. (I left what I had leftover). Also parking was a hastle because if you rent a car you can't apply for a permit until you're there. You have to then find somewhere to print it. I had to go to a fedex and print the pass to display in the window. Hastle! Overall I give it a 4 out of 5. The bugs really did ruin it for me.
