Recent updates: New paver patio around the fire pit, king size mattress in primary BR. Natural gas generator, Newly added half bathroom. Ledge rock seawall and sandy beach. Lovely 3BR, 1 full and 1 half bath lake front cottage house. Sleeps 6 plus one Pack n Play. 1 king sized bed, 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds with trundle making a third twin bed. 55' flat screen IF you want to stay inside! 😉. 140' of lake front on the beautiful Halfmoon-Patterson Chain of 7 Lakes. Which is located less than a mile from Pinckney Recreation Area. The chain of lakes include Woodburn, Patterson, Watson, Bruin, Halfmoon, Blind and Hi-Land lakes plus various coves and waterways connecting the lakes. This entire area is naturally scenic along with miles of hiking and biking trails that run along/through the chain and connecting recreation areas. Patterson Lake is all sports. Our home is fully furnished with all modern amenities. 2 Kayaks and 1 paddle board, large canoe, rafts and beach toys to use. 60' dock. All Hardwood flooring. New fire pit with plenty of outside seating. We even supply firewood! Boat launch nearby for your OWN boat that you can tie at our dock. Or rent a pontoon from N&K Marine on the lake (see last photo). Come spend your summer vacation here!

Your dog(s), maximum 2 may be allowed with prior approval from home owner. Pet fee additional.

ABSOLUTELY NO LARGE GATHERINGS OR PARTIES ON THE PROPERTY OR LAKE FRONT. If you plan to have friends visit who are not on the reservation, you must tell the home owner prior to their arrival. Owner must be notified of any additional over night guests not on original reservation to avoid additional fees. Security cameras are on premises.

Amazing lakes

Beautiful Lake House - great for family memories

My family had a wonderful and relaxing time staying at the Blue Turtle lake house. Very clean and comfortable. Great beach with walk out sandy bottom. Many memories made and we hope to visit again in the future!

Great cottage on the lake

We had an amazing time at the lake cottage. It was beautiful and peaceful during our stay. Melissa was very responsive and helpful. The cottage had all the accommodations needed. Would highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful 2nd Stay @ the Blue Turtle Cottage

This was the second time our family of four + pup stayed at the Blue Turtle. The cottage was just as great as it was before, plus several new upgrades. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed swimming, kayaking, boating, and the beautiful property. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Melissa is a responsive and friendly host. We highly recommend it!!!

Had a great stay at the Blue Turtle! It had everything we needed. Comfy beds and a clean cottage. The owner even let us use the paddle board, kayaks & paddle boat. Nice, quiet lake with beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed most of our days outside and nights by the bonfire.

Beautiful lakeside cottage

This location is gorgeous and even with snow on the ground and below freezing temperatures it was a perfect retreat for my 78 yo mom and I. Everything we needed and more. I can image it is pure heaven in the summer for families with kids. Melissa was easy to communicate with and made everything easy.

Turtle house

Wonderful cottage on the lake. Weather was beautiful. Lake is very clean. Kayaks ,paddle board and paddle boat got plenty of use. House is very clean and the beds were comfortable. Need a sign of great vacation, my 3 teens didn't complain at all!

Michigan Visit

The property was clean and had everything you needed to enjoy your stay. The kitchen and bathroom was fully stocked. The property was beautiful, and the location was the best. It was easy to communicate with the host, although we had absolutely no problem or need to contact her once we arrived. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful stay

We had such a great time at Blue Turtle Cottage! The listing honestly didn’t do it justice! The house was clean and very cozy. The outdoor living space was perfect for our family. The lake was great for our kids, with a sandy area and shallow walkout, as well as lots of water toys. Melissa was so welcoming and accommodating and easy to get ahold of if we had any questions. We would definitely love to visit again next summer!

Wonderful week on the lake!

My husband, best friends, and our godson (toddler) absolutely loved our stay! Melissa was so available and the cottage is beautifully renovated. There were loads of linens and everyday items for vacationing (pots, pans, coffee, toiletries, etc.). The access to the lake is incredible and the fire pit made for enjoyable Michigan nights (and s’mores!). We would absolutely recommend Melissa’s lake house to friends and family!

Blue Turtle Memories

We enjoyed our stay at the lake cottage. We had a lot of great memories from our stay! My favorite was playing homer in derby in the lake with my son, going on a paddle boat ride with my wife, and hunting for shells with my daughters. A Fabulous Family Vacation

Our family had a great time on our recent vacation at the Blue Turtle. Melissa was the perfect hostess & the lake house had everything needed for an absolutely wonderful stay. The accommodations were very comfortable, clean, and well designed. The lake was shallow for quite a distance and perfect for our young children (ages 6 & 7) to swim. We enjoyed using the paddleboard, kayaks & canoe on the property. We all loved that we could bring our family dog on the trip since the property was fully fenced. He also had a great time swimming in the lake. Overall, a fabulous family vacation & we hope to return one day soon.

Wonderful vacation home for families

With five adults and a toddler and newborn, this house was perfect for everyone to have a wonderful time indoors and out. The lake access and kayaks, canoe, and paddleboards really made getting out on the water easy and fun for all to take turns, and swimming/floating was great too with the sandy shallow bottom and warm water. The interior is incredibly nicely furnished and comfortable, including the beds and chairs, etc. Plenty of seating for everyone! The grill and well-equipped kitchens were both much appreciated and enjoyed. Melissa was an excellent host with great communication. The location and views are great, the house is great, the host is great -- we can't wait to go back next year!

Perfect space and perfect location

This property was clean, well-stocked with kitchenware, towels, water toys, outdoor space, and of course the lake. There was nothing I needed that I didn't find in the house. The location is great for running, bike riding, hiking, walking and water sports. The neighbors are friendly, and the home feels safe and cozy. Communication with the owners was easy and pleasant, there were no problems or issues. This was the best VRBO stay I have ever had. I will come back, given the opportunity.

Dream Vacation Place

This is our second visit at the Blue Turtle and we walked away just as happy as we were the first time. Everything is perfect, from the location to the nice little extras that Melissa does to make it a vacation rental that lacks nothing. The addition of the half bath at the front entrance is a win-win situation. When they boys came in from the beach there was a place where they could wash the sand off their hands without having to go all the way through the house. And we loved the new fixtures in the main bath. Melissa is wonderful to work with and we look forward to another visit this fall. Thank you Melissa for all you do!

Blue Turtle Cottage

A very beautiful cabin on Lake Patterson. Seven of us came up for my granddaughter graduation from U of M in Ann Arbor. The trip in to Ann Arbor was only 30 minutes away. The cabin had plenty of room, was well maintained and very clean. We have rented many house through VRBO in the years and this one rates right on top of my list. Even though the weather was cold my younger grandsons did fish from the shore and they did catch fish, which made them very happy. They kept asking me when can we rent the cabin again and come back. We created wonderful memories that we will remember for a life time. I will definitely recommend this cottage to all our friends and family.

Great Family Cottage

I spent a week at the cottage in August with my father and two children ages 9 and 12. The lake was perfect for the kids - not to big and the water was shallow near the cottage. The owners left plenty of things for us to use in the water including kayaks, paddle boards, floats, etc. The cottage has been recently remodeled and it is modern and very well kept with all the amenities we needed and more. The location is rural and out of the way, but if you are interested in taking day trips, there are lots of things to do in the surrounding towns and cities. We are from New York and this was our first time in Michigan - it is a beautiful state and we had a great trip. I would definitely recommend the Blue Turtle Cottage for families looking for a fun and relaxing lake vacation.

Great Place

This is our third visit to Blue Turtle Cottage and it WILL NOT be our last. We are already making plans for a week next summer. Melissa goes beyond to make sure everything is perfect. The kitchen is the best equipped I have ever seen. The addition of the half bath just off the living room was great. Now when the grand boys come in off the beach, they go straight there to get the sand off their hands and arms. No more going through the house to the full bath. The added bonus are the water toys! Can’t keep the kids (and their parents) off or out of the water. Thank you Melissa for a dream cottage!

Great place on the Half Moon chain of lakes.

Such a great place to spend time on the chain of lakes. The hostess, Melissa, is very attentive. The place has everything you need to have a great stay at this cottage. The kayaks and stand up paddle board are perfect… especially if you don’t rent a pontoon or bring your own boat. The only thing we had a small problem with was that the owner’s dog beds were left in the master closet. Since we aren’t dog people, we aren’t used to the smell. We could not use the closet but luckily we didn’t need the 3rd bedroom so we used that closet. Other than that, the place was very clean and well appointed. Would recommend.

Gorgeous property with fantastic property manager!

We needed a place to stay while visiting our daughter and this place far exceeded our expectations! We had some travel concerns with Covid that Melissa was an absolute rockstar in accommodating. She was exceptionally easy to work with and highly efficient! The property was easy to find and in stunningly beautiful location! Lots of Autumn foliage and right on the water. The unit itself was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. Melissa really knows how to decorate and organize! The basket of goodies when we arrived was a god-send as we hadn't had a chance to get groceries or stop for food. Checkout was a breeze! Easy and quick list of items to do. Certainly made the end of our stay as convenient as it could be. Wish we could give more than 5 stars! Thanks Melissa!

My family and I live in Brighton, MI. Which is 30 minutes from the Blue Turtle cottage. We love our Lake front house and would like to occasionally share it with people looking to get away to a cute water front cottage, (perhaps) not too far away. I am also a Michigan Licensed Professional Realtor specializing in buyer and seller needs.

Why they chose this property

I love our cottage! I had been looking for over 3 years for something like this. We don't have the time to travel "up North" to the "cottage". So I kept my search local. This is a newer home compared to many lake front home/cottages. It was built in 2003 and is very up to date with everything you could need.

What makes this property unique

Many other cottages have about 40 ft of water frontage. Our cottage has a whopping 140'! The water is shallow for a ways out, which makes it fun for playing in the water. We are connected to 6 other lakes by boat or kayak/canoe. One is a no wake lake that makes for awesome fishing! We have a western exposure giving us an awesome sunset every evening!
